Cohesity Unveils Key Security and Cloud Integrations with Microsoft and Announces Expanded AI Vision
Cohesity, a leader in innovative data management, announced that it has intensified its relationship with Microsoft to help companies expand globally and strengthen data security, which has become increasingly critical today: a cyber attack occurs every 39 seconds and 30,000 websites are hacked every day, with a cost to the global economy estimated at 6.9 billion dollars in 2021[1].
There are two main elements on which the strengthened relationship between Cohesity and Microsoft is based:
- Cohesity announces integrations that help IT and SecOps leaders defend against cyber threats
-
- Microsoft Sentinel: The backup and recovery solution DataProtect of Cohesity, both on-premises and as an offering backup as a service, now integrates with Microsoft Sentinel, the cloud-native platform for security information and event management (SIEM). With this integration, customers can benefit from simplified access to incident reporting and ransomware alerts.
- Azure AD e Multi-factor Authentication: Azure Active Directory is a standard identity platform for Microsoft customers around the world. Cohesity offers seamless integration with Azure AD and Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) to securely manage and access Cohesity products, including Cohesity Data Cloud e Cohesity Cloud Services.
- Microsoft Purview thanks to Cohesity's partnership with BigID: Gain data insights for data discovery, privacy, security and governance across your Microsoft environment with Cohesity data classification, powered by BigID. BigID has built an integration with Microsoft Purview that allows mutual customers to benefit.
- Cohesity Cloud Services are now available on Azure, allowing Microsoft customers to easily protect and secure their data across hybrid environments.
-
- Cohesity FortKnox, Cohesity's popular SaaS cyber vaulting service, offers an additional layer of protection with predictable data recovery. Live demos and product previews of Cohesity FortKnox on Azure are available now and will be generally available in the coming months.
- Cohesity DataProtect delivered as a service, an easy-to-use enterprise-grade backup as a service (BaaS) offering, now supports Microsoft 365. Customers can use Cohesity's BaaS offering, which protects critical SaaS, cloud-native and on-premise data, to back up Microsoft 365 data to an Azure-hosted data plane.
The beginning of a new era in creating value from data
Cohesity, that already uses Artificial Intelligence To help customers detect anomalies that may indicate a cyber attack in progress, it believes AI can be used in other ways to quickly analyze large volumes of data and allow IT and security operations to respond to a breach more quickly and accurately.
Today Cohesity announced that it will advance its AI-enabled data structure which, combined with OpenAI, will advance generative AI initiatives for threat detection, classification, anomaly detection and more. To learn more about the impact AI can have on data security and management, Cohesity's expanding partnership with Microsoft, and the opportunities for customers to protect, secure and derive value from data, watch today at 7 p.m. the special edition of “Spotlight on Security” which will see the participation of important managers from Microsoft and Cohesity.
