Participation in the initiative dedicated to graduates and recent graduates in scientific and technological disciplines confirms the company's commitment to promoting talent without gender distinctions
Axiante, Digital Innovation Integrator that supports companies - local and international - in digital transformation, participates in the "Virtual Job Meeting STEM Girls", the online event designed to put graduates and recent graduates in scientific and technological disciplines in contact with companies particularly attentive to the themes of innovation and inclusion.
The virtual event, scheduled for Wednesday 16 April, includes not only workshops and presentations but also the sharing of success stories of women who have developed an important professional path in the STEM (Science, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics) areas to inspire the new generations to overcome the gender stereotypes that are still present.
The “Virtual Job Meeting STEM Girls” offers a digital platform through which you can discover interesting job opportunities but also receive updates from companies on the most requested skills, as well as providing precious moments of discussion with companies.
The support of the initiative is part of Axiante's timely commitment to promoting talent without gender distinctions as part of the constant development path of its team - which has long seen the Digital Innovation Integrator as the protagonist of recruiting initiatives at some of the most important universities throughout the country - and wants to contribute to reducing the gender gap in sectors that continue to record a weak female presence.
Still a limited percentage of students compared to the European average choose degree courses in STEM disciplines and this gap is more accentuated, considering the share of female graduates who opt for a course of study or take up a job in scientific or technological areas. This is confirmed by the Istat 2024 Report which shows that the percentage of girls with a degree in STEM subjects does not reach 17%, compared to 37% of boys. This last factor contributes to the staff gap in many key areas for the digitalisation of businesses and the country.
"Italian companies are increasingly called upon to initiate a structural transformation to face increasingly complex and competitive contexts, in which technology plays an essential role" comments Romeo Scaccabarozzi, CEO of Axiante: "In this context, reducing the gap in STEM graduates, especially in some areas, is crucial for the development of organizations as well as the country. We are proud to support initiatives that help develop these skills and make new and stimulating job opportunities increasingly accessible to young people. professionals".
