The System Integrator complete technological renovation with a focus on multimedia to increase customer satisfaction and provide an IT infrastructure flexible, secure and efficient.
Praim, a leading global provider of complete systems for the creation and management of software and hardware workstations Thin & Zero Client, renews the NovaNext infrastructure providing thin clients in Agile mode to create digital workspaces and ThinMan console to manage them remote and centralized, improving and simplifying the management of all workstations.
Founded in 1988 as PR.ES., the company became NovaNext in May 2018, focusing on innovative solutions to support companies in digital transformation. NovaNext designs and implements projects in the Networking, Data Center, Security, Collaboration, Cloud and IoT fields, integrating the most important technologies on the market today, also offering Managed Services that ensure proactive infrastructure management, security and performance monitoring of applications and systems . Furthermore, by providing official and certified courses from the main ICT vendors, including Cisco, Oracle, Microsft and IBM, NovaNext is a training center for professionals in the sector.
To increase user satisfaction, NovaNext decided to renew itself completely with workstations, located between the place of Rivoli and Milan which allow us to simplify operations, while maintaining a high level of security and control.
"Users were using multiple devices including smart cards and telephone headsets, - says Marina De Zen, ICT Manager of NovaNext - our aim was therefore to create multimedia workstations that had the characteristics and performance as close to that of a physical computer, and that would allow users to use unified communications business tools such as Cisco WebEx and Cisco Jabber Teams. "
In this context, NovaNext has adopted the Citrix system for the MCS service in non-persistent Random mode and the Praim Thin Client solutions, in Agile mode for the distribution of workstations based on Windows 10 LTSB 2016, a choice which also allows the company to use Cisco voice and video traffic optimization protocols. Also for the remote and centralized management of all workstations, the company relied on Praim, through the implementation of the ThinMan software solution.
NovaNext's choice of Praim solutions therefore falls within a framework of complete modernization of the workstations that NovaNext intended to create for people engaged in office activities. The goal was not only of a technological nature, but aimed at introducing a more efficient way of working, both for the people who use the workstations and for those who manage them. Praim has allowed NovaNext to achieve its goal, improving both operational aspects.
"In addition to the recognized qualities of reliability and business solidity, in relation to the product and also customer care service, Praim is the ideal partner for developing a focus on innovation technology, relying on a product not only based on a hardware implementation of the client used, but mainly on a management endpoint software that allows you to simplify operations and maintain total control of the system - said Sergio Ribba, CTO of NovaNext. "
Praim technologies, combined with Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp and Cisco Hyperflex, allow NovaNext to manage a more flexible, secure and high-performance platform, which is perfectly suited to the company's technical support organization. The new architecture is only the first phase of a larger project of innovation and evolution, where NovaNext is already planning the new Single Sign-On and Smart Identity security systems, identifying Praim as the ideal partner again, thanks to ThinMan Smart Identity .
"We are proud to support NovaNext - said James Brown, Marketing Manager of Praim - and ThinMan Smart Identity we can offer them a secure access controlled and optimized data management and resource to each employee, without complications or risks for colleagues and manager. "
