It is a leadership team of cybersecurity luminaries and specialists from Fortune companies who analyze global infrastructure protection challenges and priorities and provide strategic input into Qualys' product development.

Eschelbeck, a former vice president of security and privacy engineering at Google, brought innovative and successful companies to market and helped develop high-performing multinational teams in the United States, Europe and Asia. Recognized for his expertise in network and systems security, Eschelbeck has conferred before the U.S. Congress and is a frequent speaker at major industry conferences. Eschelbeck is a respected author, best known for publishing “Vulnerability Laws.” He is one of the inventors of the CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) vulnerability assessment system and holds numerous patents in the field of network security management.
Eschelbeck sits on the board of Onapsis, is a member of the supervisory board of Deutsche Bank and is an advisor for technology and digital solutions for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Previously, Eschelbeck served as CTO at Sophos, Webroot and Qualys. He holds a doctorate and master's degree in computer science from the University of Linz, Austria.
