ESET, global leader in the cybersecurity market, has presented to the market the new product versions dedicated to Windows security for the consumer sector
New releases enhance security in solutions ESET Internet Security, ESET NOD32 Antivirus e ESET Smart Security Premium.
The wide range of security improvements include malware detection, password strength and smart home support, in line with ESET's goal of creating a safer digital world for everyone. With the constant growth of reports of cyber attacks, it is increasingly important that users are protected in their online activities.
Software upgrades affect key issues, including online payments and banking threats, identity theft and data loss, password theft and connected device security.
Other updates include new Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) and System Registry scanners that can detect malware that uses WMI or the Registry maliciously. The Connected Home module has also been improved with increased security troubleshooting and detection of connected devices.
The security of bank transactions is an absolute priority and the Banking & Payment Protection update features a special secure browser mode through which you can make secure online transactions. The new feature allows users to use any supported browser in secure mode by default, ensuring that communication from the keyboard and mouse to the browser is encrypted to prevent keylogging. Additionally, Banking & Payment Protection now notifies users when Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) is active to alert them to the danger of malicious use.
Finally, ESET Password Manager has been completely redesigned with new features such as logging out of websites and remote clearing of browsing history, both via browser extensions and native mobile apps.
