Qualys is supported by nine Global Cloud Platforms located in the US, the EMEA area, the United Arab Emirates and by 82 Private Cloud infrastructures that allow it to manage 20 petabytes of data, index 9 trillion data points in Elasticsearch clusters and satisfy multiple of 17,500 subscribers worldwide
Qualys, Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS), a pioneer and leading provider of highly innovative cloud-based IT security and compliance solutions, introduces its new cloud platform in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
With nine locations around the world, Qualys is expanding its highly scalable Cloud Platform consisting of a suite of integrated cloud applications for IT, security and compliance, including the latest VMDR® (Vulnerability Management, Detection and Response) and Multi-Vector EDR. The first of its kind, the Qualys Cloud Platform provides real-time visibility into the hybrid environment, from on-premises, to endpoints, to mobile devices, containers, cloud, OT and IoT environments, through an array of sensors and connectors that carry telemetry, needed to provide continuous 2-second visibility into all IT assets.
The Qualys Cloud Platform automatically implements a complete Global IT Asset Inventory, which is continuously updated and can be synchronized with configuration management databases (CMDB), becoming the single point of reference for companies of all sizes. In addition, Qualys also provides Private versions of the cloud platform, where 82 companies host the cloud on-premises and store data locally, such as the recently announced cloud service in collaboration with Digital China.
The Qualys Cloud Platform in the UAE will support various local compliance requirements, such as the Abu Dhabi Systems and Information Center (ADSIC) Cyber Security Policy and the UAE Information Security Regulations. Additionally, the platform will enable Qualys partners, such as managed service providers, to offer cloud services to highly regulated industries.
“In today's global digital economy, the competitiveness of nations depends on their ability to exploit technology in ways that distinguish them from competitors,” he said Andrew Ward, Senior Vice President – NBI Products & Solutions, du. “The UAE's cloud-first strategy, as set out in the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority's 2018 guidelines, calls for the establishment of a regional data hub. For this reason, we appreciate Qualys for confirming the launch of a UAE-based cloud services platform. This decision aligns with the company's strategy to collaborate with the best vendors in the industry, ensuring companies across the region have uninterrupted access to the tools and data needed to build cutting-edge ecosystems. Innovation is what will allow Middle Eastern businesses to continue to thrive in the new digital landscape. Looking to the future, with the support of Qualys UAE Cloud, numerous new possibilities will open up for businesses."
“The Qualys Cloud Platform is built on a cloud-native, microservices-based containerized architecture that delivers an extensible, scalable and powerful experience. And most importantly, it provides real-time visibility into your global and hybrid IT environment, enabling you to detect and prioritize critical vulnerabilities, identify malware and respond effectively from a single pane of glass,” he said Philippe Courtot, President and CEO of Qualys. “We are happy to build a new infrastructure of our Global Cloud Platform in the United Arab Emirates.”
