The company appoints Siggi Petursson and Martin Matula to the positions of VP Engineering
SentinelOne, a provider of an automated cybersecurity platform, announced the appointments of Siggi Petursson as VP Customer-Centric Engineering and Martin Matula as VP Engineering to lead the Czech Republic team. enabling rapid innovation and customization of solutions.
Petursson brings more than 20 years of experience in cybersecurity management and software engineering to SentinelOne, most recently serving as Senior Director of Software Engineering at Oracle (NYSE:ORCL). At Oracle, Petursson played a key role in enabling the migration of the software platform from on-premises to the cloud, designing machine learning systems to ensure quality control of cloud-based products. Petursson also led the development of the company's Security-as-a-Service offering, an automated solution that scanned products for security vulnerabilities and provided self-healing capabilities. At SentinelOne, Petursson will lead product quality control and coordinate the company's engineering team.
Matula joins SentinelOne from Avast, where she held the role of VP of Engineering at the company's central offices in the Czech Republic, with responsibility for leading the engineering structure that spans multiple locations in EMEA and the US, building solutions of security for endpoints, IoT tools and mobile devices. Previously, Matula led the regional engineering team at companies including Cisco and GoodData. At SentinelOne, Matula will lead the growth of the engineering team in the Czech Republic, expanding throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
