The excellent quality of the company's endpoint security solutions was reconfirmed
ESET, a global leader in the cybersecurity market, has been named Strategic Leader nell’Endpoint Prevention and Response (EPR) Comparative Report 2021, one of the most comprehensive tests of endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions and endpoint security products AV-Comparatives has ever produced. The solution bundle ESET PROTECT Enterprise, which includes ESET PROTECT management console, ESET Endpoint Security, ESET Enterprise Inspector and ESET Dynamic Threat Defense, version 8.1, was tested in the report.
AV-Comparatives, a leading independent testing firm well known for offering innovative analytics in real-world environments, subjected products from 10 vendors to a series of 50 targeted attacks, each implemented with a variety of techniques and tactics.
Based on the testing, AV-Comparatives developed an Enterprise EPR CyberRisk Quadrant™ that “takes into account each product's effectiveness in preventing breaches, the resulting calculated savings, the cost of purchasing the product, and its accuracy (in terms of costs incurred due to false positives).” ESET with its solutions has been designated Strategic Leader in the quadrant, obtaining the highest certification. Strategic Leaders are considered to be “EPR products that have a very high return on investment and provide a very low total cost of ownership… due to exceptional technical capabilities, combined with reasonable costs.” Additionally, strategic leaders “develop innovative ideas and implement them well into their products.”
ESET achieved high scores in the categories of active response, passive response and combined prevention/response capabilities, achieving 96%, 100% and 98% respectively.
As indicated in the report, ESET PROTECT Enterprise performed exceptionally well in addressing the 50 different attack scenarios and proved to be an exceptional enterprise product. The intuitive and easy-to-use console was particularly appreciated, as was the contextual data provided to allow security experts to prioritize, mitigate and further investigate threats.
