The Singularity platform helps companies achieve autonomous cybersecurity in times of economic uncertainty
SentinelOne, provider of a cybersecurity platform with autonomous response capabilities, was included by Gartner® in the Hype Cycle™ Report for Endpoint Security last December, in the XDR, ITDR, EDR and EPP categories. According to Gartner, "Cyber security and risk leaders must prepare to select next-generation technology to continue protecting endpoints from attacks and breaches. EDR remains a mainstream technology, while XDR advances the adoption of new application cases and solutions such as UES, DaaS, ASA/ASM, BAS, EM and ITDR"(1). The presence of SentinelOne in the categories indicated in the Gartner report highlights how the portfolio of technologies and services of the Singularity XDR platform is able to help companies contain costs and minimize risks.
SentinelOne was recognized in the following Hype Cycle innovation categories, each of which helps security leaders protect their business from attacks and breaches:
- Extended Detection and Response (XDR): "XDR products reduce the total cost of managing security incidents, improve the efficiency of incident response teams, and improve an organization's risk posture. Effective XDR implementations detect threats more quickly and automatically and reduce response times through automated actions. XDR tools offer seamless integration with other security tools and can coordinate response actions with each other."
- Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR): "Identities are now fundamental to identity-first security activities. Only internal users, devices and authorized vendors should have access to corporate systems. ITDR adds an additional layer of security even to proven identity and access management (IAM) implementations."
- Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR): "EDR is an essential component of any layered defense system. It must be deployed across all devices to report configuration and telemetry, identify anomalous or malicious activity, reveal advanced attack tactics and techniques, and provide a remediation process. EDR prevents known malware and ransomware and can identify the most sophisticated threats."
- Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP): "EPP is considered a foundational security solution for all organizations and is fully implemented on 99% of enterprise endpoints. It is impossible to develop preventative protection for all possible future attack techniques, which places an emphasis on the effective detection and response capabilities of EDR."
SentinelOne was also recognized in the Vendor-Delivered Service Wrappers (VDSW) category in the latest Gartner Emerging Tech Impact Radar: Security report, published in November 2022. The company was also recognized in the Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Active Directory Defense (AD), Cloud Infrastructure Entitlement Management (CIEM), Deception as a Feature and Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) categories of Emerging Tech Impact Radar: Security.2]
“Helping to increase organizations' cybersecurity capabilities, while consolidating solutions and vendors, remains one of our priorities,” he said Daniel Bernard, Chief Marketing Officer di SentinelOne. “We believe that being included in multiple strategic categories defined in the Gartner report reflects our unique ability to provide autonomous, real-time cybersecurity at scale.”
