ESET, a global European leader in the cybersecurity market, was selected by Nordcom, Digital Company of the FNM Group, to protect the over 2000 devices present in the various companies belonging to the Group.
For more than 20 years, Nordcom has supported transport companies and public administration bodies to overcome the challenge of digitalisation, providing tailor-made digital consultancy and solutions to optimize the processes of mobility operators. 58% owned by FNM and 42% by TIM, Nordcom operates in a complex and constantly evolving market, a context that requires a high profile of social and moral responsibility and imposes a scheme of values based on ethics, transparency, correctness in business, high professional quality and service orientation.
The company was equipped with a technological infrastructure characterized by a protection system that was unable to optimally respond to the security needs of the entire company group. For this reason, a scouting process was launched at the beginning of 2021 with the aim of identifying a security technology with a low impact on resources, a high malware detection rate (attested by independent tests carried out by authoritative third-party analysts) and a presence in Europe.
The co-presence of all these evaluation elements led Nordcom to choose ESET as the security vendor to which to entrust the protection of the over 2000 devices present in the various companies belonging to the Group.

The possibility of exploiting the potential of cloud security technology on thousands of users has allowed Nordcom to further raise the level of security, keeping under control, through a single management dashboard with access from any web browser, not only the devices present in the company but also the personal devices used by users in remote working. This made it possible to obtain greater reactivity in the management of alerts and to have full control of the managed endpoints, even outside the company perimeter.
