A complete platform for security management
Research conducted among ESET customers shows that the vast majority of ESET HOME users define themselves as home administrators, i.e. those who take care of the digital security of their family. They are tech savvy but don't want to spend too much time managing products. To meet these needs, ESET has made a series of improvements to ESET HOME which, as a complete security management platform, now becomes an integral part of the user experience.
To improve the user experience and simplify management of the platform, ESET has made several changes to the interface, including the introduction of Overall Protection Status, so that users can see the protection level of their families in a single view. This combines both the validity status of a user's licenses and the security status of devices linked to the account into three categories: Protected, Attention Required, and Security Alert.
These new elements aim to provide customers with cutting-edge protection, while requiring minimal interaction to set up the product. At the same time, the new ecosystem provides comprehensive options and functionality for proactive users who want to control and customize it. ESET HOME is an easy-to-use web portal and mobile application available for iOS and Android.
The new subscription levels and their features
Three subscription levels have also been introduced for this new ecosystem: ESET HOME Security Essential, ESET HOME Security Premium and ESET HOME Security Ultimate. Subscription levels offer all-in-one protection, from the basic level of protection up to the final level, covering the complex privacy and security needs of users and their families' digital lives. ESET HOME Security subscriptions are available on all major operating systems: Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.
ESET HOME Security Essential is an entry-level subscription with security features, including enhanced modern endpoint protection and real-time multi-layered security, as well as additional tools that further enhance the user's ability to protect themselves from various threats. This includes Safe Banking and Safe Browsing features, designed to safeguard users' sensitive data, and Network Inspector, a diagnostic tool that provides information on the security of the user's router and viewing devices connected to the network. ESET HOME Security Ultimate it is the most advanced subscription level; provides complex all-in-one protection and introduces VPN as a new ESET feature. The features are integrated by the browser extension functionality (Browser Privacy & Security), to guarantee the protection of the user's browsing. Additionally, Metadata Cleanup removes metadata from images loaded in browsers on Windows. Website Settings Review allows users to easily review and change permissions granted to websites.
Improve online security: VPN function introduced
With the new offering, ESET provides innovative features aimed at strengthening online security and privacy.
