An industry expert from Google, Reed will strengthen the company's impact on AI in the world of cybersecurity
Vectra AI, a leader in AI-driven cyber threat detection and remediation for hybrid and multicloud enterprises, today announced the appointment of Jeff Reed, who has assumed the organization's new role as Chief Product Officer. The appointment comes at a time of great growth and momentum for the company, following the launch last summer of Vectra® AI platform and this year of Vectra MXDR, the first global, 24/7 MXDR service designed to defend against hybrid attacks.

Recognizing the increasingly urgent need to overcome siled threat detection in today's hybrid attack landscape, Vectra AI created the position of Chief Product Officer to expand its comprehensive consulting offerings and equip customers with the AI-driven solutions needed to protect against cyber attacks. Reed will assume this new position on the Vectra AI leadership team and will be responsible for the strategy of all product-related initiatives, such as engineering, product management, technical and product marketing, and customer support. His responsibilities will include oversight of operations and strategic direction to bring greater value to the company.
Reed joins Vectra AI from Google Cloud™, where he most recently served as Vice President of Product for Cloud Security and prior to that was Product Manager for Kubernetes® Engine, Anthos™ and Google's serverless portfolio. Before joining Google in 2020, Reed held several senior positions over a decade at Cisco, including SVP of Product Management for Cisco's $16 billion enterprise networking business and SVP and GM of cloud and network security. Prior to Cisco, Reed held senior positions at large enterprise software companies, including Symantec, focusing on product development, alliances and business development.
