Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud leverages Intel® Core™ Ultra processors and neural processing units (NPUs) to boost security, performance and efficiency for MSPs and enterprises
Milan, 27 August 2025 – Acronis, global leader in the cybersecurity and in the data protection, and Intel today announced the availability of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud on AI-powered PCs powered by Intel Core Ultra processors. The new collaboration brings advanced, automated threat detection and remediation to endpoint devices without compromising performance. The integration of Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud with Intel technology allows Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) and enterprise customers to benefit from faster and more efficient cybersecurity, ideal for organizations operating with limited resources.
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud uses AI to detect and neutralize threats at the endpoint in real time, analyzing behavioral patterns to detect complex attacks such as ransomware, zero-day exploits, and fileless malware that traditional tools may miss. On devices with Intel® Core™ Ultra processors, the solution becomes even more powerful thanks to OpenVINO™, which allows complex AI tasks such as behavioral heuristic analysis and anomaly evaluation to be transferred to the processor's neural processing units (NPU). Moving AI-based behavioral threat detection from the CPU to the NPU within Intel Core Ultra processors reduces CPU workload by up to 92%, according to internal testing, improving overall performance, extending battery life and ensuring system uptime.
Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud, a multi-tenant SaaS platform, offers award-winning protection against cyber threats, including next-generation anti-malware, email security, data loss prevention (DLP), and endpoint and extended detection and response (EDR/XDR). Security professionals using Acronis reduce time spent managing different tools with a natively integrated solution that combines cybersecurity, endpoint and posture management, data protection, automatic backups and disaster recovery. Acronis is also fully aligned with NIST security functions, supporting users to more effectively identify, protect, detect, respond and recover.
“To counter modern cyber threats, protection must be natively integrated and AI-based,” said Gaidar Magdanurov, President of Acronis. "Partnering with Intel enables MSPs and enterprise IT departments to provide real-time security on endpoints with minimal impact on system performance, while protecting user productivity. Through this partnership, we can offer users and IT administrators a simple and effective cybersecurity solution."
“Together, Intel and Acronis deliver fast, AI-driven security directly on the device,” said Carla Rodríguez, Vice President and General Manager, Client Software Enabling at Intel. “By running complex security tasks on a PC with AI and Intel Core Ultra processors, we enable partners like Acronis to provide innovative protection with reduced latency, improved performance and greater privacy protection.”
Traditional anti-malware software often fails to detect modern threats and consumes excessive system resources, causing slowdowns, increased support tickets, and lost productivity. Fragmented security solutions put additional pressure on already overburdened IT teams, increasing operational complexity. Acronis Cyber Protect Cloud solves this problem with natively integrated Cyber Protection that minimizes the impact on system performance. With Intel technology, the benefits are further amplified.
