SentinelOne (NYSE: S) e Mimecast recently unveiled an expansion of their collaboration and technology integration, which offers mutual customers ready-to-use AI detection for greater visibility into human risks and more effective ways to manage them.
Thanks to years of collaboration focused on accelerating incident response across email and endpoints, including Mimecast's presence in SentinelOne's AI SIEM ecosystem, the new feature integrates SentinelOne's real-time endpoint telemetry into Mimecast's Human Risk Management (HRM) platform. Today, common customers can log incidents related to malware detected by the Mimecast platform Singularity® Platform of SentinelOne, allowing the correlation of threats with the behavior of individual users, the identification of high-risk employees and the adoption of targeted interventions, ranging from suggestions on behavior to suitable policies capable of encouraging a significant change in attitude. This gives CISOs and security teams not only a unified view of human risk factors for email and endpoints, but also the ability to optimally manage them.
“Understanding and managing risks related to human error is critical to cyber resilience,” said Melissa K. Smith, VP of Technology Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives at SentinelOne. "Expanded integration with Mimecast will help security teams move beyond reactive defense to proactively reduce user-related risks by combining best-in-class endpoint telemetry and behavioral AI. The partnership with Mimecast is a testament to our joint commitment to providing intelligent, connected security ecosystems that enable customers to prevent the most aggressive threats."
The announcement comes at a time when teams must manage alert fatigue, false positives and an expanding attack surface. Standard security training and procedures cannot keep up with the pace and complexity of today's threats. SOCs are increasingly burdened with continuous alert triage, while also having to reduce human risk. The integration combines highly reliable threat intelligence from SentinelOne, the leader in endpoint security, with Mimecast's behavior-based awareness platform to help enterprises focus on what matters most: changing behaviors and not just acting in response to threats.
“To fully protect the enterprise, organizations must be able to identify where the risk is coming from,” said Micheal McCollough, SVP, WW Partners & Alliances at Mimecast. "8% of employees cause 80% of security incidents, and if you can't identify the most at-risk users, you can't block threats. With increased integrations with SentinelOne, mutual customers can tap into their threat data across endpoints and communications channels to identify where the risk is coming from and block it before it impacts the business."
Joint integration offers multiple benefits, such as:
- Unique visibility of human risk: Directly link endpoint threat activity to user identities for comprehensive risk profiling.
- Targeted behavioral intervention: activate real-time solicitations or micro-learning campaigns for at-risk users, providing personalized training to the employees who need it most.
- Adaptable policies: Dynamic controls that automatically adjust security measures based on real-time risk assessment, human behavior data, and threat intelligence.
- Seamless activation: Available today at no additional cost to Mimecast Engage customers.
The integration complements Mimecast's previous HRM platform integrations with SentinelOne endpoint telemetry and enhances SentinelOne's AI-powered SIEM system with advanced email threat data provided by Mimecast. Shared intelligence improves signal accuracy and contextual awareness within the Singularity® platform, empowering SentinelOne as the leading AI-powered platform where telemetry from across the environment comes together to power accurate, real-time AI-based threat detection and response.
Mimecast's commitment to innovation and partnership was recently recognized at the 2025 SentinelOne PartnerOne Awards, where the company was named Strategic Technology Partner of the Year for both EMEA and North America.
