Acronis named among CRN's 2025 Tech Innovators, for the unified platform that guarantees service providers secure, autonomous and scalable operations
Acronis, global leader in the Cybersecurity and in the data protection, announces that the Acronis RMM (Remote Monitoring and Management) solution was the winner in the MSP RMM Platforms category of CRN's 2025 Tech Innovators Awards. The award recognizes an AI-based RMM solution developed with a security-first approach, which helps Managed Service Providers (MSPs) improve operational efficiency. This milestone reflects the company's moment of strong growth, committed to developing solutions capable of simplifying complexity, reducing workloads and guaranteeing MSPs scalability in complete safety.
Acronis RMM was designed from the beginning with security as a core element, not an add-on. It is an integral part of the Acronis cyber protection platform, which combines backup, EDR, antivirus and patch management in a single agent, with a single policy and a single console. This approach helps improve your security posture and operational agility at no additional cost, allowing you to protect and manage more laptops, desktops and servers without increasing headcount.
Designed to meet the needs of MSPs, Acronis RMM offers:
– AI-based automation and autonomous operations, with workflow orchestration to increase technician efficiency.
– Security-first approach with advanced features: AI-assisted patch management, secure scripting with self-defense, secure remote access, native EDR integration, and more.
– Native integration with Cyber Protection and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) services to reduce supply chain risks and ensure faster, smarter service delivery for protected workplaces.
“More and more MSPs are moving into what the industry calls the MSP 3.0 era, where security is considered an essential service, not an add-on, and is therefore built in from the start,” he said Gerald Beuchelt, CISO at Acronis. "MSPs are under pressure to do more with fewer resources, which makes automation critical. This is where AI, platform integration and workflows make the difference. Acronis invests heavily in these areas, strengthening security and expanding automation, and regularly releases updates to help partners enter the MSP 3.0 era with the confidence to operate more securely, scalably and efficiently."
Among the most recent innovations, Acronis has introduced two new AI-powered features to the RMM platform: AI and Copilot-based patch stability assessment to configure software deployment. These innovations also help MSPs operate more efficiently and reduce risks.
– Evaluation of patch stability Assigns AI-generated risk labels that indicate patch stability or criticality using globally captured incident and threat information, allowing engineers to recognize safe updates and avoid problematic patches.
– Each label is associated with a detailed view with summaries, known issues, technical comments and resolution suggestions to help reduce operational disruptions and reactive problem resolution.
– Copilot for software deployment simplifies the configuration of custom packages by automatically generating install/uninstall commands, return code and metadata, reducing manual entry and configuration errors.
– Deployment errors account for almost half of failed software deployments: Copilot can reduce them by up to 90%.
“The Acronis RMM platform has completely transformed the way we do business,” he said Mark Wiener, CEO di BizCom Global. "We've gone from multiple people working on alerts all day to just one, and now this task only takes up half their time. Reducing the number of tools is a key factor: instead of having to juggle different systems, we have a platform with unified visibility and control, which is critical to our efficiency. The vulnerability assessment and secure patching tools are extraordinarily effective, allowing us to install major patches with confidence. The increased efficiency drives growth without increasing expenses. We're expanding services, not costs."
Acronis RMM has stood out for its technical innovation in the creation of a fully integrated platform capable of limiting the dispersion of the technologies used, improving the numerical ratio between technicians and endpoints and integrating security as a basic component of the architecture. The result highlights the market's growing interest in Acronis' consolidated approach, where automation, patch management, endpoint protection and backup converge into a single, natively integrated agent and console to optimize MSP workflows and improve service delivery.
“Tool consolidation and AI-driven automation are strategic to improving managed services productivity and customer experience,” he said Phil Goodwin, Research Vice President di IDC. "Acronis' approach focuses on the platform to overcome the operational and security challenges facing MSPs, helping them grow, optimize processes and improve outcomes with efficiency. We congratulate Acronis on the recognition from CRN."
