The company, among the global founding members of the association that promotes best practices for cloud security, renews its membership in Italy also for 2019.
Qualys, Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS), pioneer and leading provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions, renews, for the third consecutive year, its membership fee to the Cloud Security Alliance Italian Chapter, the association aimed at Italian professionals and companies who invest in the cloud computing model and believe in sharing experiences and practices, to promote its safe use.
CSA Italy was established in October 2011 and is the Italian Chapter of the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the international non-profit association created with the aim of promoting knowledge, training and the provision of secure services and solutions for all forms of cloud computing. CSA now has more than 330 member companies, including the world's leading cloud vendors and providers, coordinates 20 affiliated organizations and manages a community of over 90,000 professionals interested in being an active participant in the cloud security market.
Qualys has always been a partner of the Cloud Security Alliance, just think of the latest "Decade of Vision Leadership" award awarded last March 4 to the CEO of Qualys, Philippe Courtot, during the CIO/CISO Interchange Forum in San Francisco: a recognition of the investments and passion made by Qualys in recent years, in advising companies to adopt cloud solutions.
"Analysts note that companies are increasingly interested in implementing software as a service and we have always worked to guide the sector towards cloud solutions and applications that can perfectly respond to all market needs – underlines Emilio Turani, Managing Director of Italy, Spain, Portugal and Central Eastern Europe of Qualys -. The award assigned by the Cloud Security Alliance International to Qualys reconfirms all the pioneering efforts of our company aimed at creating security in the cloud, a commitment that we are also honoring locally, promoting culture and new safety certifications".
"CSA Italy was created to support the development of Cloud Computing in our country, with particular attention to the Public Administration sector, for which CSA STAR is one of the reference certifications for the qualification of SaaS providers, and SMEs in the adoption of a safe and aware approach to the cloud - concludes Alberto Manfredi, President of CSA Italy. Our mission is to promote knowledge about the cloud, through the development of conferences and partnerships with leading vendors and specific training with the CCSK program. We are certain that adequate expertise on the subject of security on the part of the user of cloud services, together with the awareness of the importance of the data managed, is essential to stimulate providers to be more transparent in communicating models and security measures to be adopted for the protection of their customers' data".
