Arrow, the value distributor, has signed a distribution agreement for the EMEA regions with ProEsys Technologies, the Italian provider of IoT solutions for vertical markets. The core business of ProEsys is based on radio and IoT transmission technologies for smart cities and smart agriculture, for telecommunications, transport, for the maritime and security sectors.
Promoted by the business incubator ESA (European Space Agency), ProEsys has developed a series of IoT communications solutions specific for vertical markets, based on LoRa sensors (extended long-range network) and Ultra-Wideband Gateway, designed for critical infrastructures and monitoring for indoor / outdoor localization systems.
ProEsys has already made many successful cases in the IoT connectivity sector, including:
• A monitoring system for electrical towers based on IVMS (Integrity-Vibration-Monitoring System) sensors, gateway and LoRa connectivity. Real-time encrypted alerts that update the infrastructure manager on anomalies such as strong vibrations, structural failures and other relevant data.
• The IPS-1 industrial pressure sensor, a specific solution for the energy services sector that provides leak detection or spillage in oil, gas and aqueducts.
• Private network solutions based on ProEsys Network Server, also made available for customers who have to manage critical infrastructures.
• The WearLOC-2 LoRa wearable device can be used outdoors without further mobile or radio communications to improve the safety of people and workers, and to protect access to restricted areas. The sensors allow the global positioning of the satellite navigation system (GNSS) and allow the monitoring of workers' activities.
• The WSN, Worker Safety Network solution is available in a practical and robust, widely recognizable case, which contains the wearable WearLOC-2 devices and a special LoRa Gateway transmitted via satellite, which produces a portable LoRa “bubble” with worldwide satellite coverage.
