The agreement, already active in other European countries, is signed in Italy to support modern data centers with the exceptional performance provided by NVIDIA AI platforms
Arrow Electronics, a global provider of technological solutions, has signed a strategic distribution agreement also in Italy with NVIDIA.
Under the terms of the agreement, which is already operational across the EMEA region, Arrow will distribute NVIDIA® DGX™, NVIDIA virtual GPU (vGPU) and NVIDIA® Tesla® data center platforms.
Cloud, IoT and virtualization solutions are key elements of Arrow's global portfolio of solutions and services. The agreement with NVIDIA opens up a plethora of new business opportunities for data centers in the IT channel, from infrastructure construction, virtual desktop solutions, virtual graphics processing, to servers, high performance computing (HPC) and storage. NVIDIA solutions complement Arrow's market-leading server offerings, providing solution providers and resellers with greater value and a one-stop source for developing their customers' data centers.
The agreement allows the channel to resell, among others, virtual GPUs with other infrastructure solutions. These will be well equipped to meet the needs of end customers for future use cases, such as artificial intelligence, IoT, blockchain and other technologies that are driven by a large volume of data and require high-speed data processing.
NVIDIA vGPU offers users cost-effective, scalable performance in virtual and cloud environments, while the NVIDIA Tesla platform is designed for the most demanding high-performance workloads and hyperscale environments in the data center. NVIDIA DGX is the world's first purpose-built portfolio of deep-learning systems, designed for AI and analytics capabilities.
“Through this strategic agreement with NVIDIA, our channel dealers will have the opportunity to generate new business for next-generation data centers, supporting the areas of data processing, hyperscale, consumer internet applications and cloud computing in nearly every industry,” he said Alexis Brabant, Vice President Sales di Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions in Emea. “NVIDIA is well-positioned and growing in the data center market, and by working together Arrow and NVIDIA enable the channel to respond quickly to the ever-increasing business of AI training and inference.”
“As AI requires parallel access to large volumes of data, the demand for high-performance computing and virtual graphics processing in the data center is growing exponentially,” he says Richard Jackson, Head EMEA Partner Organization di NVIDIA. “The cloud has transformed IT, and now is the time for the channel to enter the accelerated computing space to help its customers benefit from the benefits of NVIDIA innovations and Arrow's unique ecosystem and value-added services.”
