ESET MSP specialized research partners and investing in advanced cybersecurity solutions

by Grandangolo Communications / Tuesday, 28 January 2020 / Published in Eset

The activity, developed together with distributors, provides qualified training on the entire range and on the solution ESET Security Management Center, which automates tasks, reduces management costs and increases the protection of the services offered by MSPs

ESET, global leader in cybersecurity, continues to develop its commercial strategy aimed at expanding its presence in Italy, covering all regions and making use of the precious contribution of the most prepared partners. Thanks to the collaboration of value distributors, ESET is selecting resellers and managed service providers who are experts in security, to qualify the most competent partners capable of supporting Italian SMEs in accelerating the Digital Transformation processes.

While everyone worries about the growing complexity and variety of cyber attacks, every company knows well the risks associated with the loss or theft of corporate devices, which can lead to serious privacy violations. The entry into force of the GDPR is also pushing organizations that currently manage the security of IT systems internally to carefully evaluate outsourced services. Interesting opportunities therefore open up for MSPs who see their turnover expand, also as a result of constantly growing demand given the evolution of increasingly aggressive threats. MSPs must therefore be able to offer a proactive and constant approach to combat hackers, to ensure satisfied customers and adequately support each company in assessing the level of risk of their data.

"Multiple activities that we are putting in - debut Fabio Buccigrossi, Country Manager of ESET Italy – and are aimed at helping more experienced retailers understand which security platform to suggest to SMEs, rather than which are the most useful tools to adopt to ensure services to their customers free from any cyber risk. Compliance with GDPR regulations, the complexities of 5G connectivity and security linked to smart working models are also issues of great importance, and we want to provide the right weapons to qualified partners to successfully overcome all new challenges."

Speaking of products for MSPs, ESET which protects 110 million endpoints worldwide, has released ESET Security Management Center (ESMC) versione 7.1, significantly improving the management and security capabilities of the services offered. The ESMC 7.1 solution enables optimal data protection on corporate devices thanks to Full Disk Encryption (EFDE). Once deployed on customer endpoints, the EFDE solution helps prevent unauthorized access to data in the event of loss or theft by keeping hard drives encrypted with 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).

“Thanks to the ESMC 7.1 solution, MSPs can develop new business simply and effectively,” he continues Stefano Rossini, Distribution Manager of ESET Italy – offering the best ESET IT security solution, carrying out daily monitoring and managing billing on a monthly basis. ESET's MSP program offers complete tools to enjoy complete autonomy in activities and a wide range of plugins and integrations are available with the major players on the market, allowing direct management of endpoints without having to install any remote administration server. Internationally, our solutions are offered by over 4,000 MSPs and this number is growing steadily, with partners specializing in different types of customers, including the healthcare, education and hosting companies sectors.”

ESMC 7.1 also automates other key tasks for administrators through full integration with ESET MSP Administrator (EMA). EMA is a tool that helps MSPs easily manage their customers' licenses and locations, because the moment MSPs add a new customer in EMA, it is automatically synced with ESMC. Managed Service Providers can perform additional important tasks in ESMC, managing a few simple steps, such as creating pre-configured setups, updating customer operating systems or remotely uninstalling third-party software.

"Market analyzes confirm a situation of significant digital divide in our SMEs - concludes Buccigrossi ESET – but companies are increasingly moving towards the adoption of new systems to improve business processes. This is why we want to support the MSP market, already growing strongly in recent years, to help them further increase their turnover, enriching their portfolio with new skills and the solutions of a leader in endpoint security."
