The partnership with Geoclima and the new range of water chillers with magnetic levitation centrifugal compressors provide the ideal technology to enable data center operators to surpass new energy efficiency targets
Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure solutions, has announced initiatives aimed at meeting the growing customer demand for innovative and efficient thermal management technologies and services. Such solutions include Vertiv™ Liebert® OFC, the new range of cutting-edge water chillers with Turbocor magnetic levitation centrifugal compressors, presented in collaboration with Geoclima. The air and water chilled chiller family will initially be available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
The exclusive technological partnership with Geoclima, a company specializing in innovative cooling systems with low environmental impact, allows Vertiv to take advantage of top-notch technology and a consolidated tradition all over the world. The Liebert design® OFC has been optimized to use low-GWP refrigerants, including R1234ze, ensuring high energy efficiency. Other refrigerants are also available in the range including R513A and R134a.

The complete Liebert range® OFC will include water-cooled models from 300 kW to 1600 kW and air-cooled models from 300 kW to 1700 kW, also available in free-cooling and adiabatic configurations.
Customers around the world, new and old, will be able to field test Vertiv's entire portfolio of Thermal Management products under real-world conditions at the state-of-the-art Customer Experience Centre of Tognana (PD), where there are six laboratories, including the Chiller Laboratory (1.6 MW capacity), able to test and validate the performance with different chilled water temperatures and simulate environmental conditions ranging from -10 at + 55 ° C. The plant also has a state-of-the-art test room for tests on indirect evaporative cooling technologies, to validate the operating conditions specified by customers.
As part of its innovation roadmap, Vertiv has recently redesigned its entire range of air conditioning products, including the Vertiv ™ direct expansion unit Liebert® PDX with variable speed compressors, and the chilled water range with the renewed Vertiv ™ Liebert® PCW.
