Provides continuous monitoring of critical vulnerabilities, misconfigurations and now malware to speed remediation and remote patching
Qualys, Inc. (NASDAQ: QLYS), a pioneer and leading provider of cloud-based security and compliance solutions, adds Malware Detection functionality to its Remote Endpoint Protection cloud solution, free for 60 days. All customers who are already using the solution with a free 60-day license can extend it for an additional 30 days.
“ATN International needed an approach to protect endpoints both inside and outside the office, as one of our biggest challenges was securing the workstations of our remote associates,” he said Daryl Petersen, Vulnerability Manager di ATN International. “With Qualys Remote Endpoint Protection, we can correlate vulnerabilities with available patches and actually apply patches to remote endpoints directly from the internet, all without having to tie up our VPN network connection.” This provided us with enormous added value when most of our employees suddenly had to work remotely."
Thanks to the Qualys Cloud Platform and strengthened by the Qualys Cloud Agent, the Remote Endpoint Protection solution detects the presence of malware by searching for known malicious files on endpoints, servers and cloud workloads, verifying their file reputation and classifying threats. If the presence of malware is detected, users can react faster to cyber threats, improving their overall security posture.
Qualys' free, up-to-date Remote Endpoint Protection solution enables security managers to use low-impact Qualys Cloud Agent to:
- Identify and list all remote endpoints in real time, without forgetting the hardware and running applications
- Ensure the security of remote systems by constantly monitoring in real time all critical vulnerabilities, malware and misconfigurations that impact the operating system and applications
- Decrease response times for remediation operations by automatically correlating needed patches with identified vulnerabilities and classifying detected malware based on severity
- Apply patches and react to malware within hours and directly from the cloud with a simple click without using available bandwidth on VPN gateways
Qualys customers who have already implemented Qualys Cloud Agent can easily enable these features through the Qualys Cloud Platform without performing any work on client systems. Alternatively, existing software deployment tools can deploy the low-impact Qualys agent on remote PCs to enable Qualys Remote Endpoint Protection.
“By leveraging our robust, scalable cloud platform, we were able to create a solution that protects remote workers' computers, continuously monitors vulnerabilities, and eliminates them,” he said. Philippe Courtot, President and CEO of Qualys. "We have thus extended the free 60-day offer to over 700 companies, half of which are potential customers. Today, we have integrated the Malware Detection functionality which is a preview of what we will present in the summer, when we will combine the power of our Qualys Cloud Platform with the Endpoint Detection&Response functionality."
Qualys Remote Endpoint Protection with malware detection is available starting June 15. To book the free 60-day offer, see www.qualys.com/remote-endpoint/.
