The company has offered its collaborators the opportunity to work remotely, in total autonomy and without risk of interruptions, protecting and maintaining the security of the information systems.
P.E. Labellers is a group born in 1974; since then it has grown year after year, reaching global dimensions today. It is made up of 8 companies distributed between Italy, the United States and Brazil, and is in turn part of the American multinational group Pro Mach.
The company has increasingly specialized in the creation of cutting-edge, extremely reliable and long-lasting labeling solutions, so much so that it has earned the trust of the largest global business groups, the major OEMs as well as smaller companies with specific needs. productive in turn different. P.E. it is linked to the production chains of the food, wine, dairy, pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetic industries.
P.E. machines There are approximately 10,000 installed worldwide to date and professional assistance and maintenance services are provided all over the world, counting on a force of over 90 expert profiles who support customers and over 480 employees who operate every day with superior quality standards, in every department of each location around the world.
Following the expansion of its business, P.E. Labellers needed to expand the installed fleet and manage it in the simplest and most centralized way possible, with reliable solutions for both in-house and remote work and also responding to the particular technical requirements of the particular company activities.
The objective, with a view to continuous improvement, at all levels and departments, was to proceed with the implementation of devices with excellent graphics and calculation performance, the maintenance of centralized management and the possibility of carrying out remote assistance on the workstations , ensuring a level of efficiency adequate to the need to guarantee service continuity.
Praim and the South Tyrolean IT company ACS Data System responded to this need, thanks to a long-standing collaboration, with an initial allocation, in 2019, of 30 Praim-based software systems with the Praim ThinOX4PC operating system made available to employees of various company departments, and in 2020 with the supply of another 14 systems, meeting a general satisfaction from all collaborators.
All environments have been transformed into highly effective workstations. The need to provide hardware with adequate performance, difficult to satisfy with only standard Thin Client hardware, has led Praim to suggest a mixed configuration of standard PC hardware on which to install the Praim ThinOX4PC operating system.
"The implementation of the new stations was extremely simple: after installing ThinOX4PC on the devices, they were connected to the network (wired or wi-fi) and, through the Praim ThinMan endpoint management console, all the updates and settings needed to access the Terminal Server or VDI infrastructure, ”he comments Jacopo Bruni, Marketing Manager di Praim.
"We chose the Praim solution to improve quality and production standards, meeting the ever growing need for homeworking - significantly increased due to the Covid-19 emergency", he underlines Cristiana Rondini, Marketing & Communication Director of P.E. Labellers.
"The advantages of choosing this technological solution have been manifold - he explains Andrea Sanfelici, IT Manager P.E. Labellers –, we have been able to satisfy the needs of end operators with different needs, who are given the turnkey solution to be able to work from home without seeing their daily operations altered, both in 3D design and in accessing the servers. At the same time, the solution also meets the needs of the network administrator. For us, protecting and maintaining the security of information systems is an essential priority, extended to the entire P.E. group. Labellers, branched into eight different companies located throughout the area. The device with Praim software on board guarantees the protection and inalterability of the installed applications, which reside on the company servers and are therefore centrally governed. One of the challenges of our work lies in providing our people with solutions that are both reliable and user friendly, whose technological complexity is provided in a totally transparent way. Hitting the safety objective.”
“All this, guaranteeing the performance necessary for new scenarios and new applications, as well as high-level support and assistance. These activities were all carried out centrally by the Praim ThinMan management software, allowing not only centralized administration and maintenance of the entire endpoint infrastructure, but also adequate monitoring and, if necessary, timely remote support to users "concludes Jacopo Bruni.
The installation of the solutions took place in an extremely short time. Information systems are protected and secured and the time that internal IT resources have spent and will spend in managing and maintaining endpoints has been maximized.
