The System Integrator consolidates its presence on the market and entrusts the coordination of the new commercial division to Stefano Dallolio
Computer Center, a consulting company specializing in IT products, services and solutions for companies, takes stock of the business trend of the first half of 2020 and confirms the constant investments to facilitate companies to better face the new challenges imposed by the modern economy in an anomalous year, marked by the pandemic. If 2019 was, in the over thirty-year history of the company, the year that brought the best results with a turnover up by 21% compared to the previous year, during the current first half of the year Centro Computer recorded a further growth of the +5,3% compared to the same period of 2019, reconfirming the positive trend and an excellent trend both in the sale of products and solutions for smart working and in cloud services that ensure quality, reliability, innovation and full customer satisfaction.
The Covid-19 pandemic has inevitably generated extraordinary requests from companies in the field of remote work, such as, for example, the increase in demand for new mobile devices, solutions and accessories for video conferencing, software in the cloud and all connected services. Only in the first half of 2020, the sales of notebooks and accessories to the world of PCs have seen an increase in +87% compared to the same period of 2019. The turnover relating to the client sector in the first half of 2020 is in line with that relating to the same period of 2019, but the composition has totally changed. If in 2019 58% of sales were made up of notebooks and 42% of desktop PCs, in these first six months of the year the percentages have literally reversed, with sales of 85% related to notebooks and for the remaining 15 % on desktops.
Analyzing the performance of the sectors, the company, thanks to some new important contracts, reported excellent results in the business lines dedicated to Mobility Management, the method that allows you to supply and manage the entire fleet of smartphones and tablets with a single cycle of technological renewal. These are solutions that ensure the guarantee of continuity of services and relieve the company of all problems related to management costs, allowing significant savings in the control of mobile devices. In fact, in the first half of 2020 Centro Computer recorded an increase in smartphone sales equal to + 237% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Also in the sector services the results obtained indicate a +31% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Although the general trend was decidedly satisfactory, the lockdown generated a reduction in investments in the data center, networking and multifunction printers.
"I am convinced that companies, in the second half of 2020, will return to investing in data centers to optimize their management and to integrate them in the Cloud environment in order to reduce management costs and increase the flexibility of change, in the event of future needs. to compete more strongly if the crisis continues or to innovate immediately, to acquire new market shares, as soon as it grows again "is the comment of Roberto Vicenzi, Vice President of Computer Center.
Centro Computer strongly believes in the business line dedicated to Fleet – Mobility – Print Management, which integrates the advantages of purchase and operating lease. These are solutions that ensure the guarantee of continuity of services and relieve the company of all the inherent logistical problems. The financial strategy of the companies will be to invest more and more on the "operating cost" (with an annual fee) compared to the "capital cost".
For this reason, from 1 July the company decided to create a division dedicated to this type of solutions, characterized by similar contractual arrangements, with an annual operating cost for the customer.
Under the supervision of Stefano Dallolio, new Fleet Management Business Unit Manager of Centro Computer, a team of six people will operate. Dallolio has been working in the company for over 30 years and in the last ten he has specialized in the creation and proposal of Fleet Management contracts to support the company sales network. Dallolio, whose greatest strength is the innovative commercial vision in proposing Fleet Management solutions as an operating cost, integrating hardware, software and services for the full satisfaction of customer needs, is responded to by salespeople specialized in this type of solution, as well as to technical support and back office figures who manage existing contracts.
“Computer Center's Fleet solutions are characterized by greater flexibility than the same solutions offered by other companies on the market today and integrate all the support services that the customer wishes to have during the duration of the entire contract. I am sure that Dallolio is the right person in the right place and that he will allow us to further improve our results ”concludes Vicenzi.
