The integration will allow the potential of the Ivanti Neurons platform to be implemented, guaranteeing employees personalized experiences and performances
Ivanti Inc., the automation platform that helps make every IT connection smarter and more secure, backed by Clearlake Capital Group, L.P. (together with its affiliates “Clearlake”) and TA Associates, has completed the acquisition of Cherwell Software, a global leader in enterprise service management solutions. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition consolidates Ivanti's position as the only enterprise service management vendor, capable of offering end-to-end services and asset management from IT to business divisions (LoB) and from every endpoint to the IoT edge. This new combination helps accelerate Ivanti's innovation by bringing together unified endpoint management (EDR), zero trust security (ZTS) and enterprise service management (ITSM) solutions.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Cherwell team to the Ivanti family,” he said Jim Schaper, CEO of Ivanti. "Together, we will develop a more advanced, vertical enterprise service management solution that delivers optimal experiences to every employee, wherever they work. In parallel, we enable IT teams to improve operational speed, service accuracy and costs. We are eager to integrate the best features of our technologies, expanding the capabilities of our Ivanti Neurons platform and thus enabling customers to maximize business results."
“I am convinced that the merger between Ivanti and Cherwell will allow us to achieve great results,” he underlined Chris Chagnon, ITSM Architect in Higher Education. "Customers will benefit from a more powerful and flexible platform that delivers better user experiences and business outcomes. As a Cherwell customer, I am excited about the integration of Cherwell Service Management (CSM) into Ivanti Neurons and the accelerated innovation that will characterize the new products."
Ivanti is committed to maintaining and investing in both its own service management solutions and those of Cherwell, working on integrating the functionality of both, such as the already market-leading Cherwell no-code and low-code applications. The Ivanti Neurons platform will combine the two companies' enterprise service management portfolio with unified endpoint management and zero trust security. The solution offers a single control panel, which allows the company to restore and protect devices, proactively and autonomously, through automated processes and guarantees assistance to end users.
“This transaction will consolidate Ivanti's capabilities beyond the IT Management System, expanding its offering of low and no-code applications,” he said Adam Holtby, Principal Analyst di Omdia. "Extending service management practices and principles beyond the individual IT department has become a key enabler for managing digital transformation and helping businesses deliver better employee experiences. The combined capabilities will enable Ivanti customers to automate and enhance end-to-end service delivery across all endpoints, from the cloud to the IoT edge. This is critical for employees who expect immediate, customized solutions that keep them productive, no matter where they work." they are located and the device they are using.”
