ESET, a global leader in the cybersecurity market, has published a map of the countries where attempts have been made to exploit Log4j.
Roman Kováč, Chief Research Officer of ESET, commented on the results: “The volume of our surveys confirms that this is a large-scale problem that will not be solved in a short time. Of course, attackers are testing many variants of exploits, but not all exploitation attempts are necessarily malicious. Some may be benign, considering that researchers, infosec companies and penetration testers are also testing exploits for defense purposes. "
