Again this year, over one hundred company employees will take part in the global virtual experience, which combines sports activities and awareness on the issues of climate change and world hungerAbstract, an established partner in the world of Information Technology at the service of innovation of market leading companies, has chosen to take the field again to strengthen team spirit among employees and raise awareness on the issues of climate change and hunger in the world.
Also this year, from 23 May to 17 June, he will participate in the Challenge Against Hunger, the fourth edition of the virtual fitness challenge created by Action Against Hunger, an international non-governmental organization founded in 1979 that fights hunger in the world.
Created to encourage companies to take collective action to fight climate change and its impact by sponsoring the activities of their employees, the digital challenge is designed to transform participants into "aid workers on the ground", specialized in environmental and climate issues in support of Action Against Hunger projects.
There are already 146 Abstract employees who have signed up for the challenge, divided into 17 teams. Every day they will have to complete an activity, choosing between walking, trekking, running and yoga. The campaign aims to promote healthy habits for physical and mental well-being, through team collaboration.
In addition to sporting activities, each team will have the opportunity to learn more about climate change and world hunger by answering a series of quizzes on their smartphones. Thanks to the #ConnectedAgainstHunger app, each participant will be able to share their results and encourage fellow travelers on Twitter and Instagram.
With each daily challenge completed, the distance traveled will be tracked on the app to check the progress of your team in real time. The kilometers achieved, together with the answers to the climate quizzes, generate points and determine the ranking position of each team and each company.
“Taking care of the well-being of employees is the first challenge that we as a company face every day. In the last two years Abstract has grown from 200 to 460 employees, and is working to build its Employer Value Proposition”, explains Antonio Garau, Culture, Development and Internal Communication Manager di Abstract. "Join the Challenge Against Hunger 2022 it is an important opportunity to consolidate team spirit and strengthen the values in which Abstract has always believed. By joining the challenge, we contribute to the physical and mental health of our people and we do so in a supportive way, which helps to counteract the increase in hunger and malnutrition also linked to climate change".
