Vectra offers a free security assessment for your cloud tenant
Vectra AI, the cybersecurity leader in cyber threat detection and remediation for hybrid and multicloud enterprises, today announced the launch of Vectra Protect, a posture management tool designed to identify and mitigate security risks in Microsoft 365 (M365). Vectra Protect combines over 50,000 hours of expert research and development with automation to analyze an organization's M365 security posture and provide customized implementation plans to remediate security risks. To ensure that all organizations can have access to the solution, regardless of the number of people or amount of security resources, Vectra is extending the free enrollment for Azure Active Directory scan until September 30, 2022.
Following the acceleration given to the use of M365 collaboration tools, which matter today over 270 million users, cybercriminals are directly targeting access management tools like Azure AD to break into other SaaS tools and corporate network resources. This creates a beachhead to launch ransomware attacks, steal intellectual property, and gain unauthorized access to sensitive user data. With its scanning engine, Vectra Protect combines insights from the M365 Graph API with data from the PowerShell module to provide a truly holistic view of the health of every identity in an organization's M365 environment. As the only scan designed to identify identity security issues in M365, Vectra Protect provides organizations:
- Quick, actionable insights for remediation: Thanks to its multi-step methodology, the scan provides organizations with actionable results within hours. Instead of bogging down the security team with additional alerts, the scan creates a comprehensive risk mitigation map that provides an implementation path with clear guidance on risk and operational impact.
- Tailored cloud support: Organizations can receive insights into the severity of vulnerabilities, the material changes needed to be made to their configuration status, the operational impact of the required fix, and the steps they need to take to remediate in a manner that complies with industry standards and regulations.
- Configuration fix and compliance: Vectra Protect delves into the configuration complexities of M365, highlighting misconfigurations in clear context to guide organizations to complete risk resolution and provide security teams with the proof they need to prove their policies are effective and compliant with regulations.
- Trust in collaboration: By understanding areas where risks and configuration issues persist, organizations can meet the promises made by cloud technology without creating unmanaged risks. Organizations can gain efficiency in implementing and using SaaS tools like M365 by eliminating defaults and aligning operations, IT, security and audit teams on security priorities.
“Azure AD has become a major attack vector, as cybercriminals seek to exploit the lack of controls and security solutions currently available for this tool,” he explained Aaron Turner, CTO of SaaS Protect at Vectra AI. "Organizations need to understand that Microsoft's default security settings are not specifically tailored for their business or industry, and this introduces waves of unnecessary risk. Add to that the constant changes being made to M365, both internally and externally, and it creates a host of potential vulnerabilities and configuration issues that organizations have a responsibility to fix. Vectra Protect helps unravel this complexity to provide the visibility and assurance businesses need to protect these essential business tools."
The free Vectra Protect scan for Azure AD, valued up to $50,000, will be available to all M365 customers operating in any M365 environment*. The scan focuses on a common beachhead for unauthorized access and risk, namely active directory access management. Turner will showcase the technology and demonstrate how to secure your M365 tenant and hunt for threats at RSAC 2022 in San Francisco, California.
