KPMG has added Vectra's cloud-based cyber threat detection and response platform to its Cyber Operations solutions and services. The Vectra solution provides customers with 24/7 real-time internal security monitoring leveraging Attack Signal Intelligence and AI threat intelligence. These cutting-edge capabilities offer customers high-fidelity alerts for effective, actionable security detection
KPMG Nederland (hereinafter: KPMG) has partnered with Vectra AI, a leader in AI-driven cyber threat detection and remediation for hybrid and multicloud enterprises, to strengthen its AI-powered behavioral attack intelligence with KPMG Cyber Security Services.
Vectra is part of KPMG's Effective Security Observability (ESO) proposition. “The first step of this unique approach is understanding business risks. Guiding principles and a proven security operating model ensure that the Vectra platform is well integrated and delivers the expected results. We support our customers in effectively detecting threats and mitigating risk, including cost reduction to maximize business value,” he explains Henrik Smit, Director of KPMG's CyberOps team. “In other words, KPMG integrates Vectra into security ecosystems to improve cyber resiliency, protect against advanced threats, and eliminate background noise from alerts. In just a few days, our customers are able to achieve increased visibility, effective detection and reduced incident response times, as demonstrated by KPMG's red teaming exercises."
As cyberattacks escalate and become more sophisticated and, at the same time, the attack surface expands, Security Operation Center (SOC) teams are inundated with an increase in reports to be triaged, prioritized and to investigate.
L’Attack Signal IntelligenceTM of Vectra, powered by AI, provides continuous and automated monitoring of attack methods, leveraging pre-built AI models to minimize manual work and create actionable insights. By combining Vectra with Microsoft Sentinel and ServiceNow to identify security gaps, KPMG accelerates adoption through proven operating models, helping customers integrate these technologies in line with the needs of their organization's people and processes. In this way, KPMG helps customers to achieve the so-called "Effective Security Observability". This adds another layer to KPMG's Cyber Operations services, focusing on delivering business outcomes through an AI technology, supported by a proven operating model for security operations: “People, Process, Technology”.
“With more sneaky cybercriminals and an expanded attack surface, the average time to detect a security incident has risen to 277 days. It is clear that organizations need to take action to improve visibility. Using Artificial Intelligence to detect and investigate known and unknown threats in real-time, Vectra enables organizations to identify attacks at the earliest possible stage and stop them before they become breaches. We are therefore delighted to join KMPG's security ecosystem, enabling organizations to close this gap and respond quickly to threats,” he says. Willem Hendrickx, Chief Revenue Officer di Vectra.
KPMG's partnership with Vectra is the latest step towards establishing a security center of excellence in the Netherlands, the model of which can be replicated in other regions for rapid scaling and deployment. This demonstrates KPMG's commitment to creating a robust and reliable digital world by proving itself to be a trusted advisor, integrator and cyber incident response organisation.
