High-performance switches feature multi-Gigabit 2.5G connectivity to power small to medium business (SMB), large enterprise and home networks
D-Link, a global leader in networking and connectivity technologies, announced two new products to its multi-Gigabit switch portfolio: the DMS-105 and DMS-108 5/8-Port 2.5G Multi-Gigabit Desktop Switches. The new devices allow you to enhance home and business networks to avoid so-called 'bottlenecks' and maximize performance and throughput quickly, easily and conveniently.
Featuring five or eight multi-Gigabit 2.5G ports, the switches provide stable, high-speed wired connections to network attached storage (NAS) devices, Wi-Fi 6 routers/access points, game consoles, and workstations. They are ideal for the most demanding business or home setups because users can access network resources and transfer large media files at maximum speed.
The DMS-105 and DMS-108 switches provide Quality of Service (QoS) support, allowing you to prioritize different types of applications depending on their importance. IGMP Snooping support optimizes multicast data streams for bandwidth-intensive applications such as IPTV, reducing unnecessary network traffic and improving performance.
Multi-Gigabit 2.5G desktop switches feature low power consumption and a fanless design that improves security and reduces electricity costs, while enabling quiet operation. The compact and slim metal structure allows you to easily place the switches wherever you need them.
