The Italian Public Cloud is one of the 15 companies in the IT sector involved in the initiative, to contribute to networking between the public and private sectors
Netalia, the Italian and independent Public Cloud Service Provider, is a partner of the Assinter Academy 2023-24, the most complete training course available in Italy on public management and the management of ICT innovation. The initiative, now in its tenth edition, was started in 2014 by Assinter Italia, the association that brings together the in-house companies of Regions, Autonomous Provinces, Local Authorities and central public bodies operating in the ICT sector, and aims to expand digital skills to support innovation in public administration.
The 2023 edition benefits from the collaboration of nine universities and fifteen companies, as well as trade associations in the sector. Created with the scientific collaboration of Bocconi, Luiss, Lum, Polytechnic of Bari, Polytechnic of Milan, Rome Business School, University of Bari, University of Bologna, Federico II University of Naples, the Academy is supported by the major companies in the IT sector. In addition to Netalia, Amazon AWS, Aruba, Dedalus, DoctoLib, DXC Technology, Engineering, Exprivia, Google Cloud, GPI, HPE, InterSystems, Oracle, Reply and SAP are also partners of the project.
Netalia, convinced that the efficiency and modernization of the PA represents a driving force for development for the entire country system, has chosen to make its expertise in the field of public cloud available to the Academy. All partner companies are in fact actively involved in participating in training modules at a "pre-competitive" level, i.e. to provide knowledge and technical-scientific opinions that can help solve real market needs, guaranteeing a high-level exchange on the topics addressed. The objective is to encourage a permanent comparison between the communities of innovators involved in the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and in particular between in-house ICT companies, scientific and academic centers and partner companies present in the Italian market.
“As Assinter we are working on two fronts: on the internal front, to ensure that the data managed by the public administration are safe, and on the external front, to help fuel the virtuous circle of citizens' trust in public administrations when it comes to sharing personal data”, underlines Diego Antonini, President of Assinter Italia and Sole Director of Insiel, the in-house ICT company of the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. “The Academy that we have launched, together with universities and partner companies, represents an important piece in building this relationship of trust between citizens and public administrations in the use of data: improving the digital skills of the PA also means improving the service provided to citizens and businesses”.
By joining Assinter Academy as a partner, Netalia wants to contribute to the creation of a high digital training and qualification center in Italy, to help combat the digital divide in public administrations and accompany the country's digital transformation process. In fact, the Academy joins the "Digital Republic" project, the strategic national initiative for digital skills promoted by the Department for Digital Transformation of the Presidency of the Council.
The 2023-24 edition of Assinter Academy focuses on various topics such as: the full implementation of the PNRR; the complete digitalisation of the country at the service of the community; digital health which sees doctors, healthcare personnel and patients as protagonists; the provision of new digital services to citizens, professionals and businesses; the use of new AI and big data technologies in e-welfare, e-Health, e-governance and other specific digital innovation issues requested by Assinter members and the Academy's pre-competitive market partners (SUAP/SUE one-stop shops, new Public Contracts Code, Tourism 4.0, Smart city, mobility, e-learning, etc.). Structured into five training pillars, the course program aims to enhance the skills of the entire network, dedicating ample space to PNRR, digital transformation, digital healthcare, in house and new innovative models.
“We are thrilled to be part of this project, which brings together, at the service of the country's digitalisation, the knowledge of the major national academic centers and the best ICT skills on the market,” he says Michele Zunino, CEO of Netalia. “Creating a system between public and private, stimulating continuous collaboration between innovative entities, has always been an objective for Netalia: we are convinced that networking is the best way to support businesses and public administrations, enhancing the best expertise in the country and relaunching a new digital culture in Italy”.
