The switches provide greater reliability, high functionality and versatility to meet the needs of secure enterprise and Metro Ethernet networks
D-Link, the world leader in networking and connectivity technologies, introduces the all-new DMS-3130 series. The range of Multi-Gigabit Managed Stackable Layer 3 Switches are designed to seamlessly connect devices within secure Enterprise and Metro Ethernet networks.
The new switches support multicasting and an advanced level of security, making them the ideal solution for Multi-Gigabit access. Both new models in the series (DMS-3130-30PS and DMS-3130-30TS) feature two 10GBASE-T ports and four 10G/25G SFP28 ports to offer greater versatility and speed. The DMS-3130-30PS features sixteen 2.5G PoE+ and eight 5G PoE++ ports, perfect for high-performance Wi-Fi 6/6E access points. The 802.3bt PoE++ standard provides up to 60 watts, allowing you to power and connect power-hungry devices such as video conferencing systems, building controls, displays and lighting systems with a single cable. Additionally, the switches offer built-in 6kV surge protection on all PoE and non-PoE Ethernet ports, eliminating the need for external surge protection devices.
Designed for customers who require maximum network uptime, both models support redundant power supplies and essential reliability features that improve network resiliency. Key features include Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS), which reduces recovery time to less than 50 ms. For load sharing and redundancy backup in a cascaded switch/server link configuration, the DMS-3130 Series offers dynamic Link Aggregation of 802.1AX links. Advanced Layer 3 features, such as static routing, RIP/RIPng, and OSPF, improve network security and efficiency, simplifying configuration and deployment, and providing scalability for larger networks and complex topologies.
The DMS-3130 Series also allows you to combine multiple switches to form a single physical or virtual stack. Stacking simplifies management and provides a single IP address that can manage all components of the stack. Up to 9 switches can be physically stacked using DAC or fiber cables to provide up to 234 Multi-Gigabit ports, increasing switching capacity as needed. Physical stacking allows for agile expansion and redundancy, while the reliability of the fault-tolerant typologies ensures particularly robust connectivity.
“At D-Link we understand that companies are constantly looking for ways to enhance their network, whether in terms of speed, reliability or security,” he said Alessandro Riganti, D-Link Country Manager for Italy “With improved reliability, availability and flexibility features, the DMS-3130 Series is designed to support the needs of today's SMBs and enterprises.”
