The new plant will help build the thermal infrastructure to meet data center demand
Vertiv, (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, announces the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, India, to meet the growing demand for data center and infrastructure support solutions globally, including India and the APAC region. The new factory creates customized thermal management products and solutions for colocation, cloud services, telecommunications and corporate data centers, to satisfy national and international markets. This is Vertiv's third manufacturing facility in India, joining the already operational ones in Ambernath and Pune.
Spanning 4.8 acres (19,424 square metres), this facility delivers air conditioning solutions ranging from 200W to 2MW and above, including adiabatic free cooling chillers, customized large air handling units (AHUs), wall-mounted thermal units, a new range of large direct expansion (DX) units, packaged DX and free cooling with economiser, a new range of in-row air conditioning units, wall units and rack air conditioning systems. The facility also features state-of-the-art test laboratories to provide performance testing, a dedicated customer service center and design support services. The factory is located in an India Green Building Council (IGBC) compliant area which is dedicated to sustainability and reducing environmental impact.
