Vertiv™ Modular Designer Lite is a web-based application for configuring prefabricated modular data centers from the Vertiv™ SmartMod™ and Vertiv™ SmartMod™ Max range
Vertiv, (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, has introduced an innovative tool designed to revolutionize and simplify the configuration of prefabricated modular (PFM) data centers. Already available in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), Vertiv™ Modular Designer Lite is an easy-to-use web-based application that simplifies the design of Vertiv™ SmartMod™ and Vertiv™ SmartMod™ Max solutions and meets specific user needs.
Vertiv Modular Designer Lite offers a range of features to significantly improve the customer experience. It resolves the critical issues of the initial design and provides a solution based on the data provided by the customer, which can be useful to a variety of technical and non-technical interlocutors. Users can quickly design all-in-one data centers up to 200kW without any technical expertise. The tool requires no login or software download and provides access to a variety of configurations to build modular data centers in minutes.
“Vertiv Modular Designer Lite allows users to effortlessly design their data centers exactly to their needs,” said Viktor Petik, vice president of Integrated Modular Solutions at Vertiv. “With the usual intuitive interface and multiple features, this tool offers a significant step forward in the design of modular data centers.”
The data centers that are profiled within the application are customized to meet the specific needs and geographic location of each customer. By integrating data such as location, weather data for precise sizing of cooling equipment, IT load requirements, rack specifications, battery backup preferences and electrical topology options, the application enables optimal customization and redundancy planning.
With support for 2D and 3D representations, users can save configurations for future reference and quick changes, access basic technical documentation, and communicate directly with Vertiv experts throughout the entire process. Vertiv specialists can help improve the initial design with an in-house, more sophisticated version of the Vertiv™ Modular Designer that enables additional functionality to optimize the solution based on site conditions, expected performance or required safety levels.
“I personally experienced the online tool during customer sessions, effectively analyzing and sharing different design alternatives,” said Siniša Stojanoski, DCCS division, X86 specialist at Dell Technologies. “The combination of an intuitive interface and advanced features offers an optimized solution for modular data center design, allowing customers to effectively visualize their configurations and make informed decisions, reducing time and costs.”
