The Italian Public Cloud in the eighth edition of the annual ranking curated by the Financial Times and Statista
Netalia, the independent Italian Public Cloud Service Provider, is among the top thousand European companies in terms of growth rate speed. This is confirmed by the position obtained in the eighth edition of the "FT 1000 2024" ranking, the annual ranking of the European companies that achieved the greatest growth between 2019 and 2022, drawn up by the Financial Times in collaboration with the German research company Statista.
As highlighted by the business daily, this year the ranking reflects the efforts of European companies that have been able to manage and then recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. Faced with high inflation and geopolitical imbalances, some organizations more than others have demonstrated great resilience and achieved significant growth despite complicated years. It is no coincidence that the IT world appears to be the most represented in the ranking, demonstrating the importance of the role acquired by digital companies in recent years. Netalia is one of these, as it has positioned itself among the top 150 companies in the IT and software sector, with an absolute growth that reached 217% and an average growth rate of +47% between 2019 and 2022.
A position that places Netalia among the most dynamic companies in the digital innovation sector also in terms of international competition. “After the recognition received at national level, with the inclusion in the 'Growth Leader 2024' ranking, we are proud to have also obtained this mention at European level,” he said Michele Zunino, CEO of Netalia.
"Over the last few years, the public cloud model has shown that it has enormous potential to encourage development and innovation. We are convinced that the entire Italian digital supply chain can contribute to the economic and industrial development of the country. From an integrated perspective, the transversal enabler of transformation is the cloud and Netalia has established itself as a reference operator, for the public administration as well as for the private sector".
To be included in the "FT 1000" ranking, organizations must have accrued a turnover of at least 100,000 euros in 2019 and at least 1.5 million euros in 2022. The companies must also be independent, have their registered office in Europe and boast organic and therefore internal growth in turnover over the three-year period. The ranking takes into consideration the compound annual growth rate (CAGR), based on the turnover data communicated by companies and monitored by Statista.
