The new products offer AI-powered protection for serverless resources running on AWS Fargate
Cloud security is a question of balance between an enterprise's desire for digital transformation and the need to protect a dynamic and fluid environment, in a context of evolving threats. Short-cycle cloud environments, such as serverless containers, represent a real and growing security risk and must be protected. SentinelOne (NYSE: S), a global leader in AI-powered cybersecurity, introduced the product Singularity™ Cloud Workload Security for Serverless Containers, a new solution that provides real-time, AI-powered protection to protect containerized workloads running on the AWS Fargate platform for Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS.
“As a long-standing, strategic partner of the Amazon Partner Network, we are committed to providing leading innovations through simple integrations that enable enterprises to improve their security outcomes and improve the way they do business,” said Brian Lanigan, Senior Vice President, Global Ecosystem at SentinelOne. And customers fully perceive the value."
As stated above PeerSpot a Senior Software Engineer using SentinelOne Singularity Cloud Workload Security, "The visibility of workload telemetry is excellent and the search capabilities exceed expectations. The most important feature is the ability to gain in-depth visibility of workloads within containers."
Short-cycle asset protection
Workloads running on AWS Fargate with ephemeral containers allow you to quickly scale and deploy update environments, providing technical and business agility. However, their short-lived nature does not automatically mean they are safe. While these assets may only live for a few minutes, hackers can compromise them within seconds and look for opportunities to move to sources of greater value and durability before the ephemeral variable is eliminated. Attackers can also gain an initial foothold in a cloud environment and move to serverless container resources to carry out attacks, such as crypto-mining.
“Enterprises are increasingly turning to serverless services to accelerate innovation at scale, and it is critical that these resources are protected,” said Ely Kahn, VP Product Management, Cloud Security at SentinelOne. “With AWS Fargate, developers can focus on building apps without having to manage app servers, and with SentinelOne they can bring every idea to production faster and more securely.”
Protection powered by artificial intelligence
Singularity Cloud Workload Security for Serverless Containers offers AI-powered runtime protection five autonomous detection engines to detect runtime threats such as ransomware, zero-day and fileless exploits in real time and optimize response actions at automatic speed. AWS customers can thus protect their containerized workloads whenever they are launched, from Amazon EC2 to AWS Fargate.
Cloud Workload Security is part of SentinelOne's cloud security portfolio, which includes Singularity Cloud Native Security e Singularity Cloud Data Security. The solution sits on top of the Singularity Platform and the Singularity Data Lake, offering the most complete CNAPP.
SentinelOne's Singularity Platform protects your business across every endpoint, identity and workload across all clouds. The unified, intelligent platform captures data from every source and applies advanced AI and machine learning to normalize, consolidate and contextualize insights into a single, powerful data lake. Thanks to fast integration, you can add relevant AWS logs, including AWS CloudTrail and AWS Security Hub.
SOC efficiency
The Singularity Platform harnesses the power of Purple AI, the advanced AIgen security analyst that offers autonomous SecOps tools designed to accelerate security teams' threat hunting and analysis, reduce average response time, and provide comprehensive end-to-end AI-powered security to prevent attacks.
“Detecting threats is only part of the security equation,” Kahn said. “By combining SentinelOne's agent and agentless capabilities with the power of Purple AI, security teams can more automatically search for, manage and investigate attacks by leveraging the power of Purple AI's natural language, synthesis and guided search capabilities.”
