The appointment as executive vice president will start from 1 January 2025
Vertiv, (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, announced that Scott Armul will be promoted to executive vice president, global portfolio and business units, effective January 1, 2025, reporting to Giordano Albertazzi, CEO of Vertiv. Armul will focus on defining and executing a growth-oriented global portfolio development strategy as Vertiv continues to expand its offerings to meet evolving industry and customer needs in a highly competitive digital economy.
As anticipated, starting January 1, 2025, Stephen Liang, Vertiv's Chief Technology Officer and executive vice president of products and solutions, will focus on CTO responsibilities, defining vision and strategy for future technological developments. Armul will lead engineering research and development, as well as the business units that make up Vertiv's portfolio of solutions such as thermal management, power management, IT systems, infrastructure solutions and global services. Together, Armul and Liang will play an instrumental role in shaping Vertiv's future technology roadmap.
“In a time when artificial intelligence is driving unprecedented demand for computing, customers are relying on our innovations and technology management capabilities,” said Albertazzi. “With his deep business and industry knowledge, strategic approach and closeness to customers, I am confident that Scott will lead our global assets and Vertiv business units into industry leadership, enabling customers to realize their infrastructure business goals faster and more effectively.”
“My previous experiences at Vertiv in technical, leadership and client advisory roles have given me a comprehensive understanding of the business and how we deliver value to the market,” said Armul. "It is an exciting and dynamic time for the industry and we are well-structured to support rapid evolution. I look forward to joining the executive team and continuing the journey of improving our business units and our solution portfolio."
Armul joined Vertiv in 2009 as an MBA intern for business planning and development and assumed the role of full-time strategic planner in 2010. His various positions at Vertiv include senior marketing manager for Vertiv services, director of AC power product management, vice president and general manager of DC power and outdoor solutions for the Americas, and vice president of DC power and outdoor systems globally. Armul is currently vice president of global strategic accounts with the goal of increasing order volume and implementing strategic initiatives related to Vertiv's growth.
