The vendor presents industrial switches and M2M routers to enable robust, secure and scalable network infrastructures in smart factories
D-Link, a world-leading company in the networking solutions sector, will participate for the first time in SPS Italia – Smart Production Solutions, the reference event for the intelligent, digital and sustainable industry, scheduled in Parma from 13 to 15 May 2025.
At the PAD. 7, Stand B038, D-Link will present its offering of advanced solutions for industrial automation, designed to support manufacturing companies in the modernization of their operational infrastructures.
In a context increasingly oriented towards technologies such as 5G, edge computing and Artificial Intelligence, network reliability becomes an enabling factor for Industry 4.0. D-Link responds to this challenge with devices designed for critical environments, capable of supporting the convergence between IT and OT systems and promoting the creation of resilient and high-performance infrastructures.
Industrial switches: rugged connectivity for harsh environments
Among the solutions on display, D-Link industrial Ethernet switches represent the first pillar of the proposal for the connected factory. Equipped with a metal casing with IP30 protection rating and designed to resist vibrations, dust and large temperature variations, they are ideal for use in harsh industrial environments. In addition to physical robustness, these switches integrate advanced features for managing network traffic, such as VLAN, QoS and SNMP support, which are fundamental for ensuring quality of service and interoperability with automation systems.
M2M router: operational continuity even in the absence of a wired network
The second component of the offer concerns M2M (Machine to Machine) routers, ideal for enabling secure and reliable remote communications between systems, sensors and centralized platforms. These devices, compatible with 4G and 5G networks, offer features such as dual SIM and automatic failover, ensuring service continuity even in remote contexts, on mobile vehicles or in the absence of wired connectivity.
Applications range from monitoring substations and energy systems, to video surveillance, up to the control and predictive maintenance of distributed systems. All this with the support of the D-ECS cloud-based management platform, which allows centralized monitoring and simplifies maintenance, reducing operating costs.
Enabling technologies for the connected industry
In modern industry, the network represents a strategic infrastructure, capable of connecting heterogeneous worlds and making complex systems communicate. Industrial switches and M2M routers are not simple devices, but real enablers of digitalization. With the aim of concretely supporting companies in their evolution, D-Link presents itself as a reliable technological partner, ready to respond to scalability, security and system integration needs.
"The digital transformation of industry requires robust, scalable and secure network infrastructures. D-Link solutions respond to these needs with devices designed for the most critical production environments - is the comment of Alessandro Riganti, Mediterranean D-Link Country Manager. – At SPS Italia we bring our experience and our technologies to support industrial connectivity in a concrete, reliable and flexible way”.
During the three days of the event, it will be possible to discover the technologies presented live and meet with D-Link technicians to evaluate real, customizable implementation scenarios oriented towards operational efficiency.
