Vertiv accelerates channel strategy with a Partner Program designed to prepare the growth of reseller edge and digitization

Resellers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa will benefit from the new sales incentive program and a richer channel portfolio.

Vertiv, today announced the Vertiv Partner Program (VPP) consisting of three main initiatives: a new incentive plan, a revamped partner portal and a richer portfolio to demonstrate its commitment to growing resellers and distributors in Europe , Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The VPP is part of a broader strategy Vertiv is implementing to enable its growing partner base to meet customer demands for edge computing, digitalization and other trends that are impacting the data center segment and the broader IT landscape. Over the past year, Vertiv has invested in ongoing, in-depth research to define the four core edge computing archetypes and identify the most established use cases for 5G, which will then present the clearest and most immediate business opportunities for its partner ecosystem.

“The channel is critical to enabling businesses of all types and sizes to seize the new opportunities presented by edge computing, 5G and the broader trend towards digitalisation,” said Joachim Fischer, channel sales director at Vertiv in EMEA. "In addition to investments to broaden the already innovative channel portfolio, Vertiv is also accelerating its strategy to ensure our resellers are appropriately and timely positioned to capture success. The new partner program and commercial policies we are progressively rolling out across EMEA are testament to our commitment to the channel."

A key element of the VPP is the new EMEA Vertiv Incentive Program (VIP), which allows Authorized and Silver resellers to automatically earn bonus points and quickly monetize rewards. The incentives also include new discounts for Gold and Platinum resellers.

In addition, Vertiv has redesigned the partner portal, which allows resellers to register quickly and immediately unlock resources and benefits. Among the features of the new portal are online training and self-study courses, to help partners overcome the problem of skills shortages in the IT sector.

In addition to tools and incentives to help resellers, Vertiv continues to develop its channel portfolio. The latest addition is the Liebert® GXT5 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), which complements edge computing solutions launched in November 2018. Available through channel partners in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) in a wide range of variants[1], the Liebert GXT5 adds new capabilities and functionality to one of the industry's most popular double-conversion online UPS families for small and micro IT environments. The innovative technology is designed to provide reliable and efficient power to multiple high-density devices through a single rack-mounted UPS. The Liebert GXT5 features individually controlled sockets for increased security and can also be managed remotely to simplify edge complexity and support the profound transformations occurring in many industries, such as retail, healthcare, financial services and Industry 4.0.
