The Vertiv™ PowerUPS 100 Standby Series helps protect essential devices and keeps office and SMB equipment running during unexpected power outages
Vertiv (NYSE: VRT), a global leader in critical digital infrastructure, introduced the series Vertiv™ PowerUPS 100 Standby, a new generation of compact uninterruptible power systems (UPS) designed to ensure the stability of distributed digital environments and reduce the impact of unexpected power outages on everyday digital operations. In Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), the 230V series is available with lithium-ion and VRLA models in a range of capacities that meet the needs of desktop and small office applications.
Part of Vertiv's end-to-end portfolio supporting critical infrastructure from the data center to the edge and desktop, the Vertiv PowerUPS 100 Standby Series offers reliable battery backup and surge protection in a sleek, space-saving design for PCs, game consoles, smart devices, wireless networks, retail point-of-sale (POS) equipment and AI-enabled PCs.
“In today's increasingly distributed IT architectures, efficient and reliable power protection is critical,” said Giuseppe Leto, senior director, IT systems business at Vertiv in EMEA. “The latest Vertiv PowerUPS 100 Standby Series completes the refresh of our single-phase desktop UPS portfolio, underscoring our commitment to continuously evolving offerings to help customers keep pace with technological advances and changing usage needs.”
The UPS includes up to eight outputs with a combination of battery backup power and surge protection, allowing users to protect multiple critical devices simultaneously. Built-in USB-A and USB-C ports offer convenient charging for mobile devices, while the compact, wall-mountable design allows for flexible placement in environments where space is limited.
The series also places a premium on long-term usability and system management. User-replaceable batteries help extend device life and reduce maintenance costs, while compatibility with Vertiv™ Power Assist software allows for automatic, controlled shutdown of connected systems in the event of extended power outages, helping protect against data loss and equipment damage.
With four VRLA models ranging from 500 VA to 900 VA, plus a 350 VA lithium-ion model, the Vertiv™ PowerUPS 100 Standby Series offers multiple capacity options for a wide range of applications.
Models are covered by a three-year warranty for Valve-Regulated Lead-Acid (VRLA) configurations and a five-year warranty for lithium-ion models, ensuring reliable power protection for critical electronic equipment.
