ESET, global leader in the cybersecurity market, presents Version 3.0 of ESET Secure Authentication (ESA), a multi-factor authentication solution that enables businesses of all sizes to secure mobile devices, prevent data breaches and meet compliance requirements. This new version offers a number of improvements, including the introduction of the Identity Connector and support for biometric authentication.
The Identity Connector allows users to use ESA to protect any service or application that uses third-party authentication providers, through the integration of the SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) protocol. This significantly extends the integration possibilities, allowing the user to use ESA to secure access to a wide range of services and environments, such as email, VPN, Office 365 or Dropbox.
Among the new features of version 3.0 is also support for native biometric authentication in ESA mobile apps, which allows users to use integrated fingerprint reading or facial recognition systems to manage authentication requests.
The new Notification Center allows each user to configure their own notifications, so they can be proactively informed without needing to log in.
The update also provides important performance improvements, providing the user with a robust solution to protect larger deployments.
Vladimír Maťovčík, Senior Product Manager at ESET, said: "Business Security solutions must be reliable, easy to use and have minimal impact on business processes. With the growing need for businesses to protect a wide range of devices and environments, ESET Secure Authentication represents a simple and effective mobile-based solution for protecting data and networks, without impacting employee productivity."
“The introduction of the Identity Connector increases the security level of the solution, while the improvement in performance and the addition of support for iOS and Android biometrics makes the experience even more fluid for users.”
