Talentia Software consolidates the collaboration with Bolzoni SpA
Talentia Software, a leading company in the development of solutions for the management of human and financial resources for medium and large-sized companies, consolidates its collaboration with Bolzoni SpA, company that has been active in the design, production and marketing of forklift equipment and industrial handling solutions for over 70 years. After having supported the company in the implementation of economic-management processes, Talentia has in fact also supported Bolzoni in a financial workflow project created through the Talentia CPM (Corporate Performance Management) management system which optimizes and integrates financial planning, budgeting processes and reporting, to create the company's consolidated financial statements according to the international accounting standards IAS/IFRS.
Bolzoni has been listed on the stock exchange since 2006 and a few months before the listing the company was asked to equip itself with a consolidation system suited to the new needs. Analyzing the offers on the market, Bolzoni selected the CPM solution from Talentia Software because it is able to guarantee the best flexibility in the management of the economic-financial aspects. In 2016, following the acquisition by an American company, the company had to further overturn the procedures adopted in management control with the transition from 45 day and quarterly closures to 4 working day closures. The system to be adopted therefore had to be even more user friendly, capable of managing new procedures.
“Our company is made up of 17 companies (the opening of an eighteenth is planned) and 7 of these are production companies with over 100 employees, while the other companies are only commercial, smaller but equipped with an internal controller – highlights Eleonora Palumbo, CFO of Bolzoni -. We have always managed the income statement with the division of the turnover, a financial situation that provides for the planning of the debit and credit part, where each branch has its own financial autonomy and with the need to aggregate the data. Thanks to Talentia CPM, the required results were achieved in a short time and with excellent satisfaction also from the software users."
Bolzoni also implemented the financial workflow with Talentia. Centrally the company opens the cycle two or three days before the end of the month, from the first day of the month the branches can upload the actual financial position data with analysis of payments and collections.
“Through the workflow, the trend and forecast are defined. Once defined and concluded, the forecasts are sent to the system for first level confirmation. Centrally, an office responsible for verifying the various entries evaluates whether they are correctly distributed in the various branches. You can then reject data centrally, make change suggestions to offset payments across branches and territories. This allows, compared to before, to have a direct vision with a simple and rapid process that Talentia's software is perfectly capable of offering" he says Marco Bossi, Managing Director of Talentia Software.
“For us the workflow represented a turning point especially in terms of the operational activity of a central office that controls 16 companies where an intercompany harmonization is not sufficient but a complete capillary vision is needed” he concludes Eleonora Palumbo, CFO of Bolzoni.
