Developing the growing global business team is a top priority
Vertiv, (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure solutions, has named Erin Dowd as the company's new Chief HR Officer (CHRO). Dowd will report directly to CEO Rob Johnson and lead the development and implementation of the targeted human resources strategy in support of Vertiv's business objectives, including a global hiring project of R&D Engineers.
Dowd, who joined Vertiv in 2018 as Vice President HR Global Business Unit (GBU) and Operations, has been instrumental in the organizational planning of the GBUs and an influential voice in the operational phases. Down has served as Vertiv's CHRO on an interim basis since last December.
A decorated military veteran, Dowd retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of colonel. In addition to his Army human resources experience, Dowd spent more than 20 years holding senior HR positions at Hewlett Packard and The Compass Group. In this role he has significant expertise in strategic planning, career planning, business transformation, talent management and employee engagement.

Dowd earned a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire, and an MBA from Tennessee State University. He also holds several certificates in coaching, performance development and employee relations regulations.
