Vertiv™ Liebert® EXM2 offers next-generation performance, reliability and efficiency
Vertiv, (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, introduced Vertiv™ Liebert® EXM2, an extremely compact three-phase UPS which in double conversion mode offers an efficiency level of up to 97%, a percentage which reaches 98.8% in Dynamic Online mode. With a power capacity ranging from 100 to 250 kVA and a compact, flexible layout, the system is designed for a wide range of applications across multiple verticals, including transportation, healthcare, consumer goods, commercial offices and medium-sized data centers, and is currently available in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), as well as India and select other Asia Pacific countries.
Liebert EXM2 integrates new features that optimize its efficiency and reliability, such as intelligent parallelism and three operating modes based on machine learning, which reduce operating costs and minimize energy dissipation. Vertiv's market-leading double conversion online technology offers efficiency of up to 98.8%, ensuring maximum transmission speed and extremely high levels of security. Furthermore, the fault tolerant internal modular design allows for safe, easy and fast installation, reduces mean time to repair (MTTR) and maximizes availability.
The technological innovations integrated into the system provide energy efficiency that significantly reduces the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), thus accelerating the Return on Investment (ROI). Liebert EXM2 is compatible with lithium ion batteries (LIB) and tolerates high temperatures (up to 50°), which minimizes cooling needs and overall power consumption.
Liebert EXM2 offers advanced monitoring, management and diagnostic capabilities via a 9" touchscreen monitor featuring multiple viewing modes and numerous safety options. The control system is compatible with Vertiv™ LIFE™ services, Liebert® Nform, SiteScan® and Trellis™ platform infrastructure monitoring software, as well as third-party battery management systems (BMS) and data center infrastructure management (DCIM) systems.
Liebert EXM2 replaces Liebert models® EXM e Liebert® NXC, highly regarded UPS systems in the market, supporting thousands of sites and approximately 1.7 Gigawatts (GW) of mission-critical loads worldwide. This latest product innovation responds to the growing demand for highly reliable and efficient UPS capable of ensuring a low-latency connection between the cloud and the edge for medium-sized applications.
“Liebert EXM2 represents a further step forward in our UPS offer: it allows us to further improve energy efficiency and make the latest generation technologies available,” he declared Kyle Keeper, vice president of global AC Power di Vertiv. “Our huge investments in research and development allow us to continue to innovate in order to always make state-of-the-art solutions available.”
“Thanks to advanced digitalization and a fault tolerant architecture, the new EXM2 combines reliability, efficiency, flexibility and intelligence to ensure optimal performance in powering critical workloads, while allowing you to optimize spaces and reduce operating costs,” he said Andrea Ferro, AC Power director of Vertiv Europe, Middle East and Africa. “The system is available in various configurations – in rows, installed inside a room or even on a wall or in a corner – so each customer can choose the configuration and options best suited to their needs”.
