Commvault's powerful backup solutions integrated into the Arrow marketplace will help customers accelerate their journey to the cloud by ensuring more effective data protection solutions to prevent data loss and downtime
Arrow Electronics, a global technology provider, is integrating Commvault's Metallic backup and recovery solutions as a data management-as-a-service (DMaaS) into ArrowSphere, Arrow's leading cloud marketplace management platform, to ensure availability to customers around the world.
Commvault, a globally recognized leader in intelligent data services across on-premises, cloud and SaaS environments, has developed Metallic, a suite of flexible, enterprise-grade solutions that deliver the best data protection on the market today, but with the simplicity of the SaaS model. Metallic offers scalable, accessible backup and recovery of data stored in on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments, with protection for a wide range of workloads. This includes Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, VM, container, database, object, and file data, as well as laptops and desktops. Additionally, the Metallic solution helps customers ensure compliance with privacy regulations, including GDPR.
Last year, Commvault signed an agreement with Microsoft that led to the integration of the go-to-market strategies, combined with the design and promotion strategies of Metallic DMaaS with Azure, creating a powerful protection platform but with the simplicity that characterizes SaaS management. Metallic offers longer data retention and the security expected from Microsoft 365 – with fast recovery from accidental deletion, data corruption and cyber attacks – as well as protection across all three Microsoft cloud environments – Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Azure.
“Arrow has deep expertise in solutions from both Microsoft and Commvault, and integrating these powerful backup solutions into the ArrowSphere marketplace will help customers accelerate their journey to the cloud,” he said. Kristin Russell, Global President Enterprise Computing Solution Business di Arrow. “Metallic now joins the growing number of products available on our cloud management platform, which gives channel partners access to a simplified ordering and pricing system, automatic provisioning and complete billing integration.”
"Commvault developed Metallic with one purpose: to provide large-scale SaaS-based services that reduce infrastructure and management overhead so users and partners can scale to their needs. The integration of Metallic solutions into ArrowSphere provides industry-leading data protection solutions to customers looking for more effective systems to prevent data loss and downtime, defend against cyber threats, and meet growing compliance and governance requirements," he said Thad Keating, Vice President Worldwide di GTM per Metallic. “We are thrilled that the long-standing partnership between Commvault and Arrow is going from strength to strength as we navigate the next phases of development for Metallic.”
