In a crisis situation, the leading cybersecurity company offers resources to companies affected by the conflict
Vectra AI, a leading provider of cyber threat detection and remediation for hybrid and multicloud enterprises, announced, in response to the escalating conflict between Ukraine and Russia, its intention to make available a list of free cybersecurity tools and services to organizations that may be targeted due to the war.
Websites and ATMs, as well as military computer networks, have been disabled in recent days due to cyber attacks, and disinformation campaigns aimed at causing panic have spread across cellular networks.
“The escalation of conflict at the cyber level will lead to unforeseen consequences,” he said Hitesh Sheth, President and CEO of Vectra AI. “No public or private organization can be sure of remaining a mere spectator.”
The company is actively monitoring new attack indicators associated with the conflict in Ukraine and Russia, as well as other conflicts around the world.
To guarantee immediate assistance in the current emergency, Vectra AI will offer the following services free of charge:
- Scan Microsoft Azure AD and M365 environments for signs of attack activity
- Monitoring AWS infrastructure for signs of active attacks, in addition to providing detection and response tools for your AWS account network and control plane
- Surveillance of network infrastructure both in the cloud and on-premise to detect attack signals, including the deployment of specially designed Vectra sensors to detect malicious behavior
- Support historical metadata preservation to facilitate incident response investigations based on indicators of compromise (IOCs) for specific attack variants.
Attacks previously attributed to Russian attackers are known for their ability to disrupt Microsoft Enterprise Cloud and gain access to critical information. With the acquisition of Siriux, Vectra AI can immediately discover malicious Microsoft Azure Active Directory activity that could lead to compromise of Exchange Online mailboxes. Vectra AI will also provide a free Siriux scan for organizations that believe they may be a target of attacks.
“As conflict escalates and cyber risks increase, Vectra AI wants to be part of the solution,” Sheth said. "We believe that together we can significantly reduce the risks associated with nation state cyber-attacks. By offering our products and services free of charge during this crisis, we hope to help more organizations protect themselves."
