Karsten Winther will lead Vertiv in Europe, the Middle East and Africa
Vertiv, (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, announces that Giordano Albertazzi has been appointed President of Americas Region. In his previous role, Albertazzi held the role of President of 
EMEA, a position that will now be filled by current Karsten Winther Vice President of Sales in EMEA. Albertazzi will be able to count on the great experience gained in EMEA to improve the performance of the entire American continent for which he will have responsibility as President of Americas Region.
Albertazzi has been at Vertiv for 24 years, and for the last six years he has led Vertiv in EMEA, contributing to an 18% increase in sales in this area in 2021 and improving the adjusted operating profit margin by more than 700 basis points.
"Giordano is best suited to lead our Americas business and rapidly implement the measures we have taken to address current challenges. In EMEA, Giordano has demonstrated his capabilities to drive growth through transformation efforts ranging from systems implementations to go-to-market initiatives. He has achieved these results by integrating cross-functional teams and introducing discipline and agility across all internal and external operations. Albertazzi and Winther worked together for four years, bringing important results and at the same time creating a culture based on responsibility and speed. In his new position, Winther's strong leadership skills will enable him to deliver the same successes in EMEA.
Albertazzi takes over from John Hewitt, who leaves Vertiv to pursue other opportunities.
This announcement follows the recent appointments of Li Ning in the role of Chairman of Greater China and Edward Cui as President of Greater China.
