The autonomous cybersecurity platform was cited in multiple strategic categories
SentinelOne, supplier of a cybersecurity platform with autonomous response capabilities, it has been included by Gartner® in the 2022 Hype Cycle for Security Operations in three strategic advanced cybersecurity sectors. The company was nominated for Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions. The 2022 Hype Cycle for Security Operations helps security and risk management leaders define strategies to deliver effective responses and remediations. In addition, SentinelOne also received recognition for Cloud Infrastructure Privilege Management (CIEM) in the latest “Gartner Emerging Tech: CIEM Is Required for Cloud Security and IAM Providers to Compete”. SentinelOne believes that XDR, EDR, ITDR and ICES categories together represent the modern security stack needed to counter the evolving new threat landscape.
“SentinelOne is becoming the gold standard for threat prevention, detection and autonomous response across every corner of the digital enterprise,” he said. Raj Rajamani, Chief Product Officer at SentinelOne. “In our view, SentinelOne's inclusion in several strategic and evolving categories highlights our commitment to delivering cost-effective, scalable cybersecurity innovations at a rapid pace.”
SentinelOne's acquisition of Attivo Networks adds a comprehensive identity-centric security layer to the Singularity XDR platform, including Identity Threat Detection and Response, Continuous Infrastructure Assessment and Cyber Deception, thereby reducing risk related to identities.
Several key recommendations emerge from these latest Gartner reports, such as:
- ITDR: Prioritize protecting your identity infrastructure with tools that monitor identity attack techniques, secure identity and access controls, detect ongoing attacks, and enable rapid remediation.
- EDR: Select EDR tools that provide direct access to endpoints to respond quickly to issues.
- XDR: Focus on security products that provide APIs for sharing information and that allow you to initiate automated actions from an XDR solution.
“Identity and access management leave vulnerabilities in the security of today's connected enterprises,” he said DJ Goldsworthy, VP Security Operations & Threat Management di AFLAC. “Combining identity-centric security with XDR is critical to overcoming these challenges and keeping the most sensitive information safe at every stage of the attack lifecycle. With Singularity XDR we have found a revolutionary protection”.
“Over the past 12 months, Gartner has seen a 30% annual increase in the number of client ICES consultation requests. Over 90% of these requests come from North America and the EMEA region. The sectors most interested in ICES solutions are banking, finance and insurance, with strong emerging demand observed in the manufacturing sector.”
