The Trentino-based company has renewed its range of Thin Clients to allow customers to use the Microsoft cloud more extensively
Praim, a global company that develops software solutions for the creation and management of advanced workstations and Thin Client hardware solutions, has renewed its range of Thin Client products by integrating new features that guarantee direct and optimized access to Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365 Cloud PC.
The constant increase in companies of all sizes investing in the cloud and modern hybrid infrastructures, to offer their operators a secure, scalable and efficient Windows desktop working environment, has pushed Microsoft to perfect the (Virtual) Desktop as a Service in cloud service offering, with important innovations that allow the approach to be diversified to meet business needs with different objectives and based on heterogeneous organizational capabilities.
Today, through Azure Virtual Desktop services, it is therefore possible to benefit from a Platform as a Service (PaaS) service to deploy your VDI infrastructure directly on Microsoft's Azure cloud where you can create and make available Windows 10, Windows 11 virtual workstations or remote streaming applications, which can also be integrated with Citrix and VMware technologies. At the same time, the Windows 365 service was also made available, a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution to provide each user, in a secure and pre-packaged way, with Windows stations accessible from the cloud already integrated and configured with other software from the Microsoft family of applications.
In light of these innovations, Praim has decided to implement new solutions to allow smart access to Microsoft cloud services, which guarantee the best possible integration with AVD and Windows 365, both in terms of performance and stability. Faced with the limitations experienced in the Linux-based solutions adopted by other players (to date not yet standardized and in continuous adaptation), Praim has opted for the integration of the native client in the Windows environment in order to benefit from Microsoft's optimizations and, at the same time, enable the automated management of endpoints (workstation, laptop or Thin Client) with the most fluid experience possible.
Through Praim Agile4PC and ThinMan it is possible to import your connections to Microsoft cloud desktops, manage their distribution and maintenance on all the different endpoints and optimize the user experience in session. Agile4PC is in fact the Praim software solution that allows the centralized management of Windows workstations, in full compatibility with virtualized infrastructures such as Citrix, VMware, Microsoft, making them completely safe and centrally controllable by the IT administration, which will be the only one able to monitor, configure or install software, avoiding any tampering, even involuntary, with the PCs. With Praim's ThinMan, however, the automation of corporate device management activities becomes simple and fast, thanks to an interface that puts all the information on the endpoints at hand and quickly enables IT staff to carry out the various maintenance, protection, configuration and assistance functions. ThinMan also allows you to create workstations in just a few clicks that offer different resources based on the user, through user or group policies that can also include different multi-factor authentication methods.
“Simplifying endpoint management, with solutions that help company IT managers save time, reduce complexity and increase security, remains Praim's priority. – is the comment of Stefano Bonmassar, Chief Sales Officer di Praim. – The integration of Microsoft AVD into our line of Windows 10 IoT Thin Clients managed through Praim Agile4PC demonstrates Praim's continuous attention to the evolution of its solutions and to guaranteeing the latest standards of the IT market".
