Treedom's Vertiv Forest has over 3,500 trees that have been sponsored and planted to help improve the environment
Vertiv, (NYSE: VRT), a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, strengthens its commitment to help reduce environmental impact by planting an additional 1,200 trees through the Treedom project. Thanks to this new initiative, the Vertiv Forest today it consists of over 3,500 trees. Every new tree that is planted absorbs CO₂ (carbon dioxide) from the atmosphere and, according to Treedom estimates, the trees in the Vertiv forest will be able to absorb over 995 tonnes of CO₂ over their lifespan.
The Treedom Vertiv forest is made up of trees distributed across ten countries and three continents. The initiative not only represents an alternative gift for the Christmas holidays, but is a concrete gesture with which Vertiv confirms the utmost attention to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.
“Our forest has exceeded 3,500 units of trees and, in accordance with the global strategy, we expect to be able to plant other trees in the coming months” – underlines Andrea Faeti, sales enterprise accounts director for Italy at Vertiv. "The new trees are added to those we had already planted last year together with Treedom for the Christmas holidays. The trees will be able to bring great benefits not only to the environment, but also to the people who live in the local communities who will take care of the trees over time, developing new skills and creating a sustainable future from an environmental and economic point of view" - concludes Faeti.
Treedom is the first platform that allows people to remotely purchase trees and the resources to plant them, and then follow the story of the project to which they will contribute online. Since its foundation in 2010 in Florence, over 4,000,000 trees have been planted worldwide. All trees are planted directly by local farmers and help produce environmental, social and economic benefits.
