Launching in 2022, the program supports the volunteer activities of the company's employees globally
Riverbed, a leader in Unified Observability, created Riverbed Community Connect, a volunteer community service initiative that allows the company to support dozens of charities around the world. The program offers Riverbed employees up to five days of paid time off throughout the year to volunteer at nonprofit organizations in countries around the world to make a meaningful contribution and create a meaningful connection in the communities where employees live and work, globally.
An essential part of the program is the Riverbed Community Connect Week, an annual community service event that allows us to support dozens of charities by providing approximately 2,000 hours of volunteer work, addressing important issues such as the fight against hunger, sustainability and support for the most needy communities.
Riverbed Community Connect Week took place recently, featuring Riverbed employees participating in volunteer efforts in more than 10 major cities around the world, as well as smaller group projects in dozens of other cities.
During Community Connect Week, Riverbed actively supported team projects in the US, UK, Romania, Germany, Bangalore and Singapore. Additionally, hundreds of employees from branch offices or working from home provided support on local and remote projects.
“Riverbed Community Connect represents our dedication to helping local communities and serves as a platform to make positive change both on a global and local scale,” he said Manny Blackner, Senior Vice President Human Resources di Riverbed. Our commitment to this initiative reflects the values of our company and helps address critical issues, such as world hunger, sustainability and support for the most fragile communities, creating an impact around the world, one community at a time."
